It's sad, because if MGS4 is announced for 360 at E3, it will be TEH BIGGEST NEWZ EVAR OMG PS3 IS DEAD! Even though it's a year-old game and the PS3 is showing off Uncharted 2, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, etc.
It's sad because the media will probably fixate on the year-old game (which is an awesome game, by the way) and act as if it's a death-blow to the PS3 instead of focusing on new games.
This is just proof that the PS3 has the most desirable video games on the market right now. Obviously you won't see Uncharted 2, LBP, or Killzone 2 on the 360, so what game do 360 owners drool over?
Do you see these sort of crazy rumors for Mass Effect 2? Nope. What about Left 4 Dead? Nope. What about Gears of War, Star Ocean 4, or Last Remnant? Nope, nope, and nope again.
Rumors of a 360 port have been running since 2007! Seriously. These same exact rumors were circ...
And...?
Holy crap. Is this article a joke? No, seriously.
I thought the "Blu Ray is teh dead!" arguments had been silenced last July/August. People are STILL praying to their pagan gods for Blu-Ray to fail?
A portable Xbox would be awesome as long as Microsoft supports it with software. I have no interest in another form of the iPhone (i.e. games aren't a priority). I'd definitely love a GAMING handheld from Microsoft.
You'd think 360 owners would get tired of begging for a game for a solid 10 months, especially when it's nothing but an "interactive movie". You'd think they'd have plenty of exclusives on their own system to play...
Funny how we call THIS into question (the word of actual developers creating actual video games) yet we take the tons and tons of PR BS spewed by the console manufacturers (M$, Sony, Ninty) at face value...
Guild Wars or City of Heroes would be cool.
3rd-party strength? Haven't all the third parties said over the past several months that the PS3 is more profitable for them?
@ Xi
"halo 3's video feature is an example of how bungie is taking videogames to the next level."
Wow. Taking video games to the next level with a video feature? It's ironic, Xi, that people such as yourself say this then turn around and dismiss things like HOME on PSN as "nothing special".
LucasArts has Sam & Max, Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango, Full Throttle...
I mean, Sierra is great, but c'mon.
Not on 360, therefore overrated, amirite?
BIGGEST PRE-E3 ANNOUNCEMENT EVAARRRRR!!!
/s
Dangit. Sales are down. What will I do? How can I bear this shame to play all of these PS3 exclusives coming out?
I'm an avid MGS fan. With that said, I understand that the series isn't for everyone. And if I may be a bit rude, I understand that not everyone has the intelligence or attention span for the series.
But still, MGS games are incredibly rewarding. When was the last time you beat a game and was rewarded with a 1-hour cutscene that wraps up a decade-long series? Especially in this day and age of 30-second endings to other "epic" games like Bioshock, Mass Effect, and Fallo...
I want Sony to do a price drop.
No, not because I need to buy a PS3 (already own one), but because I think it will be funny to see what the fanboys come up with next when their tired argument of "teh sales! teh sales!" finally withers and dies.
iPhone and hardcore gamers?
Those two go together about as well as "Wii" and "online multiplayer"
@ Journalist
Why would I care if Microsoft gets my money? The thought process of "oh, you refuse to get it for the 360 but you buy it for PC? Hah! M$ still gets your money! Boom! In your face!" totally boggles me. I don't buy PC games to help Microsoft. I buy them because I can enjoy them on a stable gaming platform.
Looks pretty cool. Can't wait to play it on PC.
Then again, ijji is not my idea of a primo publisher/developer. And notice how they won't even confirm a 360 version.
Microsoft promised they would fix the 360 hardware forever ago....
....yet no one gives them flak, huh?
Of course, it's no big surprise to see Kotaku appoint themselves as the "truth Police" for things Sony has said.
