Pretty cool if true. There's so little info released for this game. I hope it turns out.
Did we ask these same questions for Ninja Gaiden 2, BK: Nuts and Bolts, and Mass Effect?
Bu bu bu but Blu Ray be dead?
A new Breath of Fire?
Or perhaps Rival Schools?
Optional mouse control for PS3?
Plz plz plz
Yeah, but Capcom has promised a lot of things this gen. They've delivered oh so little.
I think the author of this article is overreacting. The prices are pretty comparable to PSN and PC.
Outside of Sonic Team (who is probably the worst high-budget development team in existence today), SEGA is pretty dang sweet. They've made a lot of awesome games this gen like Condemned, Valkyria Chronicles, Total War, and stuff like that.
It's too bad people avoid them simply because of their crappy Sonic games.
People (and by "people" I mean "fanboys") only care about Killzone 2's sales because sales are the last and only thing they can hold against the game.
It blew away all the haters. It surpassed all expectations. It raised the bar. So naturally, instead of giving the game the praise it deserves, haters decided to hide behind the last pathetic excuse they have to hate the game:
"Bu bu bu bu but it didn't sell 8 million"
Oh well...
I still have my Dreamcast copy (the best version).
What a fantastic game.
And before people gripe about the price, go ahead and try to buy a hard copy of this game for less than $50. Go ahead. Try.
Interesting news. So will XBLA get a demo early, or only when the game itself comes out?
So multiple disks and digital downloads were totally fine. Blu Ray was TOTALLY unnecessary.
Now, bigger disc sizes is all the rage. When will people make up their minds?
FF6 is so good....far better than FF7, which seems to be the one that people worship.
@ Tretton
LOL! Wow. Projecting much, are we? Not a single person replying to your post mentioned Microsoft or the 360.
Castle Shikigami 2 for the PS2 is where it's at. Youtube some videos and...yeah.
My question is this: at what quality and speed do those DVD movies play? What is the picture quality? And what is the sound quality?
And remember, kids, that you'd still need a new disc player (Holographic) to play these discs. So even though the DISCS are on DVDs, you won't be popping these into your Nintendo Wii anytime soon.
And it's funny how one minute Blu Ray haters will be saying "Digital downloads are fine. I don't need Blu Ray. DVD is fine. I don't need...
The article seems kinda flame-bait-ish, but it's pretty true. Just think for the games that Microsoft is known for on the Xbox brand:
Halo...didn't come from within Microsoft.
Dead or Alive...didn't come from within Microsoft.
Ninja Gaiden...didn't come from within Microsoft.
Gears or War. Mass Effect. Half Life. Left 4 Dead. Banjo Kazooie. Oddworld. The list keeps rolling and none of these IPs came from within Microsoft. The list grows much...
Gamers go where the games are. That's why lately I've been playing a ton on my DS, PSP, and PC.
360 owners loved to mock "Waitstation 3"/"Delaystation 3" owners and shot down the excuse of "just you wait! Games will come!" and they loved to shout "I bought my system for games, not for movies!"
Ironic that one of the most talked about features for the 360 is Netflix and the mantra of 2009 so far is "Just wait. Microsoft has...
Let's watch the media play this up as the biggest news of the year...
Yep. EA, Ubisoft, and other companies are all saying the same thing: the PS3 is the most profitable. Of course, 360 sales nerds will ignore this and keep screaming "installed base! Installed base!"
