Hardly an onslaught. I believe getting sold out 3 to 1 in Japan would be called "getting slaughtered".

And it's funny how people will qualify this by saying "Bu bu but it's in JAPAN! So...it's pretty good...for Japan...right?"

Yet, when the PS3 was outselling the 360 last year for 3/4ths of the year, no one payed attention.

I don't get it. Most of those games announced are multiplats.

The author is correct. Sony has both the quantity and the quality. Lets set aside any potential announcements and just focus on what Sony has already announced. Nintendo and MS have quite a bit to match up to: God of War, MAG, Uncharted 2, Jak and Daxter, and Heavy Rain (am I forgetting anything?).

MS and Nintendo might barely be able to MATCH these titles, but Sony has new things to announce at E3 beyond this.

Blog = ignore-worthy.

This reminds me of an HHG article, but with a less entertaining headline.

Heck yeah. Zone of the Enders is awesome. The first one was good but the second one was altogether mind-blowing.

I definitely want to see a ZoE3, especially after...

*MGS4 spoiler*

....playing that awesome sequence where you pilot REX and fight against RAY. That 8-minute battle put every Armored Core game on the market to shame.

You are correct. Any "PS1 classics" from the PS3 store are going to be on the PSP's store (or transferable from the PS3 via USB cable).

Wow. Game, set, and match.

I'm pretty sure FF7 alone would have been enough to ignite the PSN's servers, but MGS and Resident Evil, too? Nice.

Looks freakin' sweet. PS3 owners are gonna love this one. This, plus BlazBlue = 2D gaming heaven.

R&C: Tools of Destruction is the poster boy for what's going on in the gaming media. It has great graphics, smooth gameplay, lots of content, "too much variety", and a lot of replayability. It has a great Meta score and it has sold modestly well.

Yet, the media will ignore it. Same thing happened to Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Motorstorm, and many more.

I guess the one lesson we can learn from this that unless your game has an advertising budget greater ...

Both services have great libraries, but why is XBLA still stuck with those file restrictions? It's weird because some games bypass it and others don't. I'd think that a service getting hundreds of millions of dollars a year from LIVE subscriptions would have the prowess to support bigger files. PSN has Burnout, Siren, Wipeout HD, and a few other "big" games, but I've yet to see the same on the Xbox "digital downloads are the future" 360.

Well, FFXIII is still exclusive to the PS3 for 6 months to a year (depending on how long localization takes) in Japan, and that will be a big wake-up call to JRPG devs. When it hits the West no doubt Microsoft will try to advertise FFXIII as if it's a 360 exclusive (just like they've done for GTA4 and RE5), but it'll be kinda hard to erase that head start in Japan.

This game is going to be stinkin' sweet. Methinks it'll be the next Fallout 3, as in, the next game when 360, PS3, and PC gamers can all unite and say "Hell yeah. This is an awesome game!"

You take game news far too seriously. I wonder how you can sleep at night knowing that completely care-free and irreverent people such as myself are out there...*gasp*...making fun of Microsoft.

I'm glad the 360 owners in Japan are happy. All five of them.

Microsoft overcame the RRoD? Last time I checked, they are still suffering for it, still being sued for it, still shelling out cash for it, and still losing credibility for it.

Looks pretty dang good.

Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen. The overused excuse of "Well....the only reason Killzone 2 looks so good because it's been in development for 4 years" will be put to the test.

And here's Alan Wake, developed for 5 years. Let's see if that argument will hold up when it finally releases on 360. I'm definitely looking forward to playing this game.

It's funny how people still pretend that the 360's graphics on multiplatform game are better in any significant way. I mean, since the 360 has no exclusives that look better than PS3 games, I guess you have to resort to a lie that claims multiplatforms look better.

I mean, c'mon kids. It's not 2007. The days of multiplatform games being superior on the 360 are over. Both versions are identical.

I want to check these games out. XNA has been a pretty big waste so far, but I still check every once in a while to see if a diamond surfaces.

Even if every single one of those games was shown at E3...who is to say that they'll come out this year? Microsoft needs to step it up. New clothes for Avatars and exclusive DLC won't cut it.
