Y'know, with Mass Effect 2 hitting the PS3, I'm pretty sure the media has forgotten about the inferior PS3 version of Mafia II.
WHOA! That would actually be freakin' sweet. If you've played Scribblenauts, then you've seen what 5th Cell did on the DS with such a simple 2D physics engine.

Nice. So, the problem of "what about ME1?" has been addressed. Sure, play ME1 if you can because it's a great game, but for PS3 gamers who did not play the first game, this is a great solution.

From the start of the PS3 when it lacked a high volume of exclusives, 360 gamers shouted "HAH! You may have Blu Ray and built-in wi-fi. But we have GAMES! It's all about the GAMES!"
Is it still about the games? Because 360 gamers are singing another tune: "sales! Kinect!"
Does Kinect have games that gamers want to play? Whether you use it or not, at least Move is being supported by dozens of mainstream, gamer-focused games.
That's because their next title is multiplat on the PS3.
The 360 does not have any games or features that support 3D.
Now now. Let's not scream "definitive" over and over again like a certain racing game developer.
But Enhanced ME2 is definitely great news for the PS3.

PC certainly does have a great deal of exclusives.
PS3 fanboys. 360 fanboys. PC fanboys. Let's face it: N4G has been passed between the hands of 360 fanboys and PS3 fanboys back and forth. Apparently now that the PS3 is more popular and is talked about in a more positive light, N4Gers seem to forget the absolute 360-cesspool this site was 1 1/2 to 2 years ago (which was around the time I first joined).
There were "Blu Ray is dead" articles LITERALLY every hour, on the hour. There were "Will PS3 be Sony'...
Wow. PS3 is gettin' freaking everything at Gamescom. It was like "E3: Part 2" this year.
I already played and completed ME1 on 360 when it first came out.
And also, Bioware made it very clear that altough ME2 has connections to ME1, you can play ME2 without knowledge of the first game and still completely understand it.
Bioware, Sony, and EA are fully aware that Mass Effect 1 needs to come to PS3. It's just a matter of time. Who knows? It is quite possible that they're working on the code to put the PC (superior) version on the PS3 instead of the glitchy 360 version.
Y'know, it was Microsoft and Nintendo - NOT Sony - who worried about sales numbers, and it was Microsoft - NOT Sony - who made such a big deal about arbitrary numbers like Meta score and attach rate.
And now that Sony has simply said "Mmm Okay. I'll play along. Here's are sales numbers, Meta score, and attach rate", the media is backpedaling and saying "Uh uh uh we never uh uh uh said that stuff was important..."
ME2 is now on PS3. Wow. What can 360 fanboys even say?
Does Microsoft even acknowledge the existance of their hardcore 360 gamers? I guess Kinect really was the doom of hardcore games on the 360.
Mass Effect 1 was and still is a great game.
However, ME2 going to PS3 would be like MGS4 going to 360. This is a huge blow to the confidence 360 gamers have in Microsoft. What's next? Gears of War?
Mass Effect was one of the final titles that 360 supporters clung to.
And do remember during the age of exclusive DLC, MS supporters said:
"So what if you don't get to play all this extra stuff in GTA4 and Fallout 3? Buy a 360. MS supports its gamers!"
Now where are those gamers? Do you feel supported, gamers? While MS was working on Kinect, Mass Effect 2 went multiplat. How do you feel, gamers?
What about Mass Effect indeed? It has a great storyline.

Yeah, I smell another Tim Schafer/Brutal Legend debacle with Activision.
$100 says that after one game with Activision, the majority of the Bungie staff leaves Bungie, forms a new studio, and shacks up with EA.
I think with "exclusives" like Bioshock, GTA4 DLC, Fallout 3 DLC, Ninja Gaiden 2, and Mass Effect 2 (some of the biggest and highest-rated 360 games) no longer exclusive, I would humbly submit that IF the PS3 would win the console war, it would be for a different reason.
But the Wii is killing both the PS3 and the 360. I think the PS3 can win a strong 2nd place, but not "win" this generation in terms of sales.
