Funny, because if you actually read my comments as I "followed" the news for Halo Wars, you'd see that I was very positive and excited for the game. I think you choose to only see what you WANT to see because you'd like to write me off as a fanboy.
Here. I'll even do the work for you:

When does MS do their job right?
@ hippo24
I know exactly what you're saying. My gripe isn't that they misrepresented Killzone 2's storyline (which is standard hat for FPSs). My gripe is that they COMPLAIN about KZ2's storyline yet make the hilarious assertion that it somehow doesn't live up to the "awesome standard" of Gears 2's storyline.
Yep. That's Takahashi for ya. I look forward to "playing" this "game". :)
In the past, even S-E/Squaresoft's "b-rate" games had a certain level of quality. Vagrant Story was quite niche, but it was a high-quality game. Front Mission wasn't their most popular game, but it was also high-quality.
On the other hand, today you have S-E pumping out re-releases (I won't even call them "remakes" because that would imply they put some effort into the game) and glitchy games. When S-E's pride and joy for the Western market suffers heavily fro...
Yep. That's the gaming media for you.
I'm not sure if the "awesome standard" the Guardian was referring to was the standard of not innovating gameplay, reusing the same old storyline, or shipping with broken online multiplayer. Could someone clear that up for me?
And to think that certain people MOCK PS3 owners for getting angry about the obvious pro-360 media slant. Tsk tsk tsk.
Nice. Hopefully the game sells well. I guess the demo could sway people either way since I'm sure many gamers saw "Halo" and hit the download button without a second thought.
Once again, the media focuses in on a two months of poor sales while completely ignoring 3/4th of a year.
Whatever gets you hits, I guess.
@ Theory of Xboxism
"xbots PLAY games , they don't care about WATCHING movies "
Is that why 360 owners brag and brag about Netflix all the time?
@ Kigmal
Your logic is flawed. You say "Oh, if you have problems with people, simply mute them!", yet in other articles you complain how online gamers on PS3 rarely use a headset. Contradiction, much?
I shouldn't HAVE to mute them if it's a good community. That's why I said "It's a terrible community". Can you read? In a GOOD community, muting half of the room in every single match would be unnecessary. Yet, I had to do it on Xbox LIVE (I say &quo...

Don't be surprised when the final game has a 50-unit cap. The unit cap has nothing to do with it being a demo. The unit cap is directly related to the game engine and processing power of the system. There's no reason why they would make a 50-unit cap in the demo and then magically bump it up to 200 units. Games don't work that way, at least, not on the consoles. With PC, it's another story. ;)
Wada smelled the scent of quick money, and S-E is suffering for it. Their profits are down, their fanbase is splintered, and S-E's top project leaders and developers are pissed.
To sum, Wada bet on a console that isn't doing as well as he thought it would using games that aren't selling (or being critically received) as well as he thought they would, and S-E is suffering for it. On top of that, Wada keeps saying things like "We treat all platforms equally" and "we ...
Keep in mind that many of the people trying to keep these articles down would like to believe there AREN'T any problems and that the 360 is a wonderful, flawless piece of hardware that sh*ts rainbows and candy.
I agree that RRoD (plus hard drive errors, disk scratching, disk read errors, "one light of death", etc) is a major problem that Microsoft and the media have pretty much ignored. That's just another reason why I don't trust Microsoft.
As far as LIVE goes, it's a good service that's hampered by a terrible community. I'm perfectly willing to play online games on the "inferior" PSN (for free, mind you) if it means that I can avoid being called a "c*cksucking...
If/when 360 goes Blu Ray, I'll laugh at the Microsoft PR statements and media statements trying to spin it in as an awesome innovation by Microsoft...
...just like they bashed Blu Ray and then went to HD-DVD
...just like they said HDMI was "unnecessary" then switched to it
...just like they said larger hard drives weren't necessary
...just like they said "digital downloads are the future" and then watched the PS3 get full downloads of Burnout...
I was quite pleased at the game. The controls were fantastic, although it was disappointing to see such a small unit cap in the game (50 units or so).
Good to see a developer doing so well in this day and age.
@ Pennywise
It's $1 for "last gen" games and $3 for one night for current games at my local video store. Otherwise, there's always Gamefly.
I was going to say "No X-COM has doomed this article to fail" but that works too.
However, the mention of Rogue (as an avid Roguelike player) warms my heart.
