This article is hardly an article. It basically says "PS3 is in third, but Sony is a successful hardware manufacturer, so WHO KNOWS what is going to happen?!?!?!"
The wild card in this situation is a PS3 price drop. Both 2007 and 2008 have proven that the PS3 can go toe-to-toe with the 360 even with "no good gamez" (2007's mindset) and a much higher price point. Imagine what will happen as the PS3's exclusive library actually EXCEEDS the 360's and when it gets a price drop.
Dropping the PS3 down to $300 or even $250 is the #1 thing Microsoft fears. After all, you can only drop the price of the 360 so low before you're giving it a...
^^^ Can't argue with you there.
Though I think all three consoles (yes, all three, which includes the Wii) have a lot of potential left in them, I think that people are going to stop giving the 360 so much favor. 2009-2010 is when the PS3 outshines the competition, but beyond that, who knows? Maybe the Wii will take the hardcore gaming community by storm just like the original NES did.
All IMO, of course.
Nice score. Based on the demo, I would give it a 9/10, especially since the full game has campaign co-op, which is quite rare for RTSs these days.
Exclusives are why I own a console. If there were no exclusives, the console market would be a poor man's PC market, in which case I'd just stick with PCs. I like it when console makers build up a huge library of quality exclusives. It gives me a reason to own that console instead of playing games on my PC.
EDIT: Awwww. Look. I got bubbled down from 9 to 8. Fanboys just can't stand hearing the truth, huh?
LOL. A comparison by Cnet. Hmmmmm. Wonder which one is gonna get praised?

Xbox LIVE gives you the most for your money? I don't think so. It costs $50 just to use basic multiplayer functions, even for multiplatform games that are free to play on the PS3. And that's $50 a year. In the two years since the PS3 launched, PS3 owners were able to spend $100 on games and accessories instead of on basic multiplayer functionality.
I feel bad for EPIC. Their efforts on the PS3 have gone largely unnoticed. UT3 is one of the best run-and-gun arena shooters on the market. PS3 owners get mouse/keyboard support, and they can use mods (which is awesome!). Yet, it didn't sell very well on the PS3. So, they're stuck with Microsoft.
Then again, I'm sure if they gave the PS3 a game with as much fanfare as Gears 2 it would be a different story.
Wow. That's some of the best spinning I've seen in recent months.
The author compares the 360's free headset to the PS3's supposedly $50 headset. Huh. I must have been dreaming when I bought my BluTooth non-proprietary headset for $20.
The author shows the PS3 downloadable games to be from $2-$40, whereas the 360 is only $5-$20. 360 is cheaper, right? Wrong. The author fails to mention that the more expensive games are actually full games such as Siren, Burnout, Wipe...
If framerate and texture pop-in were such a big issue, you'd think that this site would have completely raked Gears of War 2 and Fable 2...
Yeah. I'll just go sit in a corner and hum "The media isn't biased" to myself.
"Year of the PS3" two years in a row?
So true. LOL.
It isn't. It's the third remake of the first game. This game has tons more content and it's actually a new game instead of a remake.
Looks good. I hope they pack the campaign (which is co-op....sweeeet) full of missions.
Graphics aside, this game gives you the most bang for your buck. Period. I've thrown roughly 100 hours into this game and I've only unlocked about 25% of the classes and I haven't even hit level 1,000, let alone level 9,999. It's like the Morrowind of Strategy JRPGs.
(and the quirky humor is a welcome relief in a world of Cloud Strife imitators)
LOL. Say goodbye to the excuse "I hate the PS3 controller!"
If the art style and theme is as strong as the 2000 version, this could end up being one of the most creative games to hit consoles in a long time. Hopefully EA gives it the "Dead Space" or "Burnout" treatment instead of the "Madden" treatment.
It's groupthink. It's a "my console versus your console" mentality. It's what some insecure gamers succumb to when their Gamerscore (or Trophy score, or...Friend Code) isn't big enough.
It doesn't help when journalists join in on the party. It helps even less when executives of the companies in question join in, too.
That's one thing I respect about Sony and Nintendo. They don't sling mud. They just pump out games. Some users here might hate me for saying t...
Both handhelds are awesome, and both are cheap. You can buy both a DS and a PSP for the price of one 360 or one PS3. To me, the PSP has a select few games that I enjoy playing over a long period of time. There is no DS game (or even several DS games combined) that have given me as much playtime as Monster Hunter Freedom 2 on the PSP. Plus, the multimedia functions are neat. DS has a lot more variety, though, and many of the games are not to be missed (Hotel Dusk, Phoenix Wright, Phantom Hourg...
LOL. La Chance, you talk about my "theories" as if I've been a part of this site since the PS3 launched. I haven't even OWNED a PS3 since launch, let alone been a part of this site.
I'd like to know what sort of incorrect theories I've been clinging to. If you could point that out, I'd be grateful. Otherwise, take your trolling elsewhere.
