I can't see the next generation of console games looking a whole lot better. I mean, if they match crysis, then they all look slightly better than KZ2, which in my opinion, isn't a huge jump. GT5 is looking pretty damn photo realistic already, and it'll only be released during the 3rd/4th year of the console's planned 10 year lifecycle. Aside from firmware updates and some additions/overhauls to services, what is left for the next gen after this one is done? Crysis graphics? We have that now....
I think we can safely say it's a fake, "PS3" is a short terms for the console, I don't think Sony would exclude the "PlayStation" brand name and replace it with PS3.

Ok, I know I post a lot about Monster Hunter lately, but yeah. I'd add MH to that list. An action rpg where 1 to 2 hit kills are commonplace. and if you're attacked like 2 or 3 times in a row, you become knocked out, allowing a free hit on you, usually resulting in death. SC2 won't have to compete with all the other holiday titles. They complained about not making that 250 million this year? So what? make it next year, EARLY. I don't see how that's a bad thing.
Why they released a great multiplayer game on the console with the least amounts of online capability/worst controller is beyond me. It could have been great on a better console. Ohwell... I guess I have to consider buying a Wii. MH is too good to pass up.

Capcom did great things graphically with MHF titles on the PSP, and the upcoming WII MH game looks to impress as well. They are doing great things with the hardware that's available, and I really hope they put pressure on Nintendo to put some more effort into their own console's games. The amount of content in the MH games is enough to floor any gamer, and combining that content with great visuals and steady improvement upon past MH titles-- we're sure to have a true triple A title here. I'm pretty sure most of the storyline characters are coming back. Even Raynor is back with his original voice actor.
I can see her being impossible to shoot at compared to the playable male characters.. If they suit her up just the same then cool, but if she's in some sort of skin tight armor outfit then... yeah. She'll be the most evasive thing going! It would be a welcomed addition though.
Uhhh Alan Wake looks amazing. The presentation might be what does it, like the camera tricks they use for movement, but at face value it looked extremely nice. We've seen so little of the game, but that demo where he's running through the dark and starts getting attacked by people--- that looked pretty amazing.
MS cannot stand not owning the entire internet. When they see success somewhere, the "me too" side of them comes out.

They (Sony) can sit back and wait for the other Blur-Ray manufacturers to push the format while they recover some of their losses. While reducing the PS3's costs, it's easier for them to hang back and drop the price whenever. The format will be pushing on regardless of how successful the PS3 is in the months leading into next year. So they have some of their work cut out for them in that respect.

Either way, Microsoft will feel the heat when pricepoints are no longer in their favor, and it becomes anyone's game for hardware sales each month. I think when Sony can match MS's prices, MS becomes more irrelevant as the best bang for your buck. MS knows this, and I know that sounds bad, but the sales history of the PS3 at double 360's lowest price justifies that. Bluray hasn't gone anywhere either.
MS would be absolutely crazy to not respond to a PS3 slim release/$100.00 price...
