It's relevant, and also interesting to people who want to read about patents relating to game consoles. I mean... This IS an article about an MS game console patent, right? I just provided a bunch more for all the people who are curious, or would like to see more.

...Yeah! I think it is!
Anyone checking out this article needs to take a look at this:

If anyone cares to check this out, you would probably be surprised at the amount of patents they have under just the "voice chat console" search. Most aren't even voice chat related which is crazy, MS is all over nearly every single aspect of anything relatin...
It would be nice if that funding acted as pre-purchases of title, as well as rights to act as QA testers on new builds of the games. THAT would be cool.
Haven't really looked into it, but I DID hear about them basically repackaging their fans' ideas and making mucho dough off it. I guess it was true then?
Idk, I never really held them in high regards anyway.
They're busy boycotting L4D2!
So we tossing them in the bin along with Square Enix and Activision?
Edit: Capcom. You said it! They've been doing nothing but great stuff for a while now (as I clock in my 390th hour of MHFU). Can't say much for iD, not this gen. Rage looks like it'll at least be a visual treat.
If I'm paying for your dev costs, I'll be expecting those dividends when it turns a profit, buddy.
Internet service providers and their chokehold on bandwidth won't be allowing Microsoft's HD digital streaming future to arrive anytime soon. Having full hd BD quaity stream without delay or skipping will take a lot more power than what is available when you think of it being used wide-scale, as the norm. I think they'll try to usher in a new format so people will forget about blu-ray. I think they'll just hold out until the profit they miss out of is far too great and they cave. I think anot...
If supplemental, hooray, if replacing controllers and forcing it into games, boo. I think most of us have the same opinion on this. It can only help when used properly, right?
And such is this generation..
Two responses to this one:

Madden?... Madden?... Are you f***ing SERIOUS? They could just, oh... I dunno, QUIT the business altogether and not make anymore silly decisions like this. Obviously someone in the company caught a *mild* case of braindead.
-->(Assuming this is FALSE)<--
I don't think this is going to happen. Would they be so dumb as to bundle a multiplatform title with the release of the r...
Holllllllllllyyyy crap. Finally, Kilik isn't the only thing that hit everything on the screen.
The only thing that really interests me about a MS handheld is the fact that they take care of North Americans, and those great features the psp has in Japan *should* work good over here. I find the nice little extra features the psp has in Japan has me a bit jealous. If MS can make their handheld do what the psp does in japan, I'm sold (unless there's some silly sub fee for using it).
It's an mmo. We don't know what kind of gameplay they have planned. do you fight alongside hundreds of other players or something?
MMo's don't usually look as good as single player games anyway.
Sounds alot like the wii, hahaha.
The 360 excels in hidden fees, hardware failure, and, uhh.... emulating pc games (and pretends they're exclusive when really they're actually all timed)?
It also excels in giving birth to fanboys who were almost always born yesterday.
Apologies to anyone here who sodomizes their 360 on a daily basis, but honestly, if you actually sat down, looked past your cute avatar, and listened beyond all the loud disc grinding noises, you'd see that a pc will always be the sensible...
You buy a console for its exclusives, as well as games available for it. I don't see why this article even exists. It's true, PS3 IS good for exclusives, especially when you want (arguably) the best exclusives this generation has to offer.
If a console has the multiplats, free online that doesn't suck, with some of the best exclusives available, how is that a bad thing?
Sounds like another glorified blogger came up short this month when they looked into their PS3 pig...
I don't think many people who aren't building their pc's will have a whole lot of choice in the matter. Everything in stores will be running some form of windows, whether people want it or not. Most people will probably just "end up" using it.
I tend to use windows though. Too user friendly to just stop using I find. Using anything else is usually an inconvenience for whatever reason.
My opinion, but all other fps's felt wrong after playing K2. I think the weighty controls and and satisfying kick of your guns is the reason for it.
