I does look..well.. lacking in the graphics department.. Oh well, I shouldn't complain. I play just as much old games as I do play new ones.
I want to play this game.
Is an English version in North America yet?
Sounded like a Blizzard press release.
If they can make an 8 hour game out of it, then sure, why not?
but if it runs at about the same time as something like Fallout DLC, of Shivering Isles, then yeah... Keep it under the 20.00 price range.
60.00 for one last adventure into the Halo universe doesn't sounds so bad, right?
Wait... Someone's yelling at me here.. *sigh* One second.
"What?! There's another Halo game coming out next year?"
"And THAT, too wi...
hey, you could be paying to look at these types of ads.
Diablo 2's big draw is the trading. If they take any aspect of that away, I'm not touching the already ugly thing. WoW made me furious when I found out about bound items.
I think for items similar to torches and annihilus and standard of heroes, binding could work, but it's only going to hurt trading. I don't care what their reasons are, you don't get the best item in the game only to b eforced to hoard it. If you want/need to trade ANYTHING to help out your character you should ...
Not sure if you knew this but flamebait website hits = flamewar cash dollars.
"Gaming journalists" have a business to run bro!
EDIT: (100% agree!)
10% MORE IN THE UK??!! :o
Ok guys... Throw out your PS3's. It's done. The 360 version of AA outosld PS3 by 10% in the UK! The UK! That's like..... the rest of the world isn't it? That's like.. all of Europe, all of North America, all of the Atlantic Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, the friggin MOON... Geez.. *Incinerates PS3*
I knew it was going to come down to this.. :(
I think it's good that they're opening their doors to more developers. More support is never a bad thing. But what happens when the shovelware factories who have filled up the Wii catalog see this and flood the 360 library with ports and other rubbish?
Let's hope this doesn't happen. The 360 library is a respectable one (ATM)..
The in-game XMB DOES look lower-res. I'm not sure if it was like this all along, but I definitely notice it now. The preview images are also slightly blurry. Must be their way of cutting down on the cpu's usage or whatever. RAM, w/e the funk.
BUT YEAH. BIGGER XMB = BETTER VIEW OF THEMES!
Why am I not really as excited as I sounded there? ^
If you own a PSP you'll notice that they basically matched the screen space the XMB occupies with FW3.00.. The PSP X...
The 2nd persona game was mindblowing for me back when it was released. I began playing the original (the remade game here) and it seemed pretty solid. The damage system was a bit different (weeeird IMO) from the 2nd but overall seemed quite good. Didn't play too far into it though, I decided to wait for this remake. I LOVED how they kept everything making sense with the weapons.
Scalpels as melee weapons?
I was sold.
I think you're right!
A minor face lift to correspond with the new PS3 launch, as well as some tweaks to ease navigation. I think that sums up 3.00. I think the majority of the features were probably put in there for new users that are buying a PS3 for the first time. I do think that the XMB/font size as well as the rest of the aesthetic features should be optional though.
I REALLY want to hear a Sony rep's thoughts on the issue, I wonder why people haven't been asking them?
I found the update was great. My only issue with it is the fact that when you start scrolling down the "Players Met" list, there's a strange image pop-in that seems to travel down each player listed. I haven't tested it on the actual friends list, but yeah. There's a glitch in the Payer's Met list. It kind of scared me, haha. I though my PS3 was on its way out after that update. The rest of the update was nice though.
Oh, and the "What's New" in the video sect...
You'd have to be practically strung-up on a web of wires or suspended in a dunk tank to have full body controls in a 3d environment. That's why EyeToy was not a major software pusher.
So motion controls like Natal and the Wand are not viable solutions to video game controls? Thanks for confirming that Peter. They have to be limited experiences and practically forced into the games. I couldn't agree more.
It's too bad arcades aren't being opened back up using these technologies. They could have benefited tremendously from the tech we have (will have) in our home consoles. I remember seeing some neat things like on-rails shooters that respond when you duck for c...

MW2 has some big shoes to fill. I'm not talking about MW1's shoes.
The civilians were a nice touch though I guess. Nice to see some life in the environments.
HDTV'S are just settling in, and now they introduce 3d tv's? Jeez. Couldn't they just have waited it out and skipped the hdtv step? How many people are going to rush out to buy new 3d tv's after purchasing a standard hdtv?
