Halo: CE certainly was something. I think it was the vehicles/multiplayer campaigning that pulled me in more than anything.

I probably should have made it clear that I was referring to the gameplay being its greatest feature. I guess it sounded like an attack on the visuals.

Nobody ever boasted about Halo's visuals anyway, so what's the big deal?

In all honesty they HAD to. I would go so far as to say it was a forced move by them. Not so much "desperation", but an absolutely critical move for them to make. Anybody who's anybody can see that despite the previous price differences of the 360 and ps3, the ps3 only lagged a bit (although consistently due to pricing). The 360 should have stomped PS3 out of the race by now. With lots of support from the (now dominant) western Developers, many (arguably) biased and major media outl...

I didn't know you could get animated backgrounds... Looks sweet.

They're pulling the Halo card already, huh? I'm sure this bundle will sell like hotcakes. I'd rather take halo out of there though, and get another game.

Oh, they'll have pitstops.

They'll be for putting your stickers back on, and for new coats of wax.

:D

I don't remember, but did Forza have pitstops? They could have, I just can't remember. I'm gonna assume they did.

Patching in damage later seems like the only way they could make a Q4 09 release date. Then again, we don't know how far they're actually going with the damage, or how far they are as of now.

I was always happy with GT having the tire wear and that's it. I WAS a little annoying that the cars couldn't flip though. I tried so many times it just wasn't possible.

I've got my fingers crossed for the Zonda, Vector, ZZI/II and the F1 Cart Car all coming back. I could care less about damage. Just give me fun cars to drive and tire wear. Besides, cars are NOT very tough pieces of machinery when you apply breakneck speed to them, crash one into a wall going at 180kmh and see if...

Hahahah.. Someone's kid must have signed on their account and decided to write up an article it seems.

They didn't reveal a class that uses any mechanical stuff/ranged weapons. In Diablo 3, the events take place AFTER Diablo 2, so if Blizzard throws in another magic user/barb-type character it wouldn't make any sense. They need something techy/ranged based or it wouldn't make sense with the time line..

I think a group effort from Capcom and SSM would create something fierce, but (aside from some outsourcing) I don't think game dev companies normally "team up" do they?

*shrugs*

I was expecting to hear something like Namco acquires Insomniac and Polyphony Digital or something.

I don't think anyone was "robbed" here.

Co-op campaign in Halo games are great! I do think playing alone in single player was like pulling teeth though. Halo screams multiplayer.

If they replaced the wireless with a steering wheel, and Halo with Forza 3, I'd have bought this already!

He just dodged a bullet.

I think a fair comparison would be Gears 2 comparing to a recent Valve game that utilized Source. Kind of the same situations for both developers I would assume. They both can use their own proprietary engines and whip up good games fairly quickly.

I fail to see why KZ2 is being included in comparisons. Totally different situations for the two Studios. I'm fairly certain Sony and Microsoft also covered some of their costs since they were their prized titles or this year/last.

I'm gonna go ahead and guess that 98% of those are multipatform games. I have no experience working with UE3, but maybe it's just easier to port UE3 games (although not well, it may be much easier).
Something about the engine may ease the frustrations of porting? Assuming there's a licensing fee for UE3, perhaps its the cheapest with more of what devs want? Who the hell knows. Someone should do an article where they contact companies and ask them "WHY UE3?!". Then I wouldn't h...

Let's just hope they don't all feel like the same game..

This was actually one of my concerns about the slim. I never leave my consoles laying down, I find it takes up too much space. Looks fancier standing up as well.
