If we had a bullet-point form list of all the "Western WTF'S" I think you'd retract that garbage you just spewed.
Wow. A great read, and a nice break from all the other stuff that's been buzzing around!
Not trying to hate... But they introduce that tagline AFTER they remove features?
Wasn't halo 2 leaked as well by some french dude? Or rather, a french version was leaked?
You kind of do. If you've ever been crazy enough to purchase a Qore episode, you'd see that there are ads in it.
I never thought about the hidden costs in the wii. It was a gimmick anyway so I didn't really consider it.
But wow. That's almost up there with the 360 and ps3.
I think they're comfortable with being the daycare/nursey of the games industry though. At least they'll always have their place somewhere.
130-150 maybe? That's just my guess. If sony can sell the ps2 for 99.99 and stil lmake some profit... I dunno. Makes you wonder.
The Wii's target audience is not the typical hardcore gamer. It can get away with its pricing because they are not indirect competition with MS and Sony. They don't need to price competitively.
CoD4 was the only one on that list that really stood out. Bioshock too I guess..ehh..
The rest of them do not need to be in there. MGS 4 (there's lots of parts in there), Heavenly sword (the millions of enemies rushing you while on the cannon, plus more). I dunno, this guy seems to only have an xbox. Wich is fine. But he should have just made an article called "the top 5 on xbox".
The PS3 slim is out, and now they clamor for a slim xbox...
Edit: Based on these pictures though, I *THINK* it's going to need a LOT more holes than that in the sides.
What I'm really curious about is this.
Since MS and Sony will both have different motion controls, how will Multiplatform games work with each of them?
We all know Sony has WAY more studios under their belt than MS, and MS relies heavily on third party studios. What happens when companies want to make games that utilize each system's motion sensing capabilities? Will this produce more exclusives for one or the other? With the wii already on the market with tons of ga...
Yeah... A lot of quality hardware comes from the USA. You can find a big pile of it behind the Microsoft building.
Edit: I know that sounded hostile.. But you're one of the only guys in here, and you're complaining about Weapon's PS3Slim video in a Masterchief avatar. Seriously, just admit that seeing another one being unboxed sent chills down your spine. *yawn* :p
I think Natal will work great for certain types of games. Others I can see it being nearly impossible to play. Like sports games, too much movement. what about games where your character is walking around?
shooters on rails, RTS's, puzzles, menu navigation, and racing games are the only things I can see Natal excelling at. I would like to see them prove my thoughts wrong though, it certainly has potential. I just can't wrap my head around flailing body parts and full character co...
Legend of Dragoon sequel with timing-based or position-based attacks.
I think I just wet my pants.
I'm not gonna lie, the library was absolutely disappointing during the first year of PS3's launch. I think it was Motorstorm, Oblivion, and some random multiplats that ever got play time on mine. I even remember going out and renting NFS: Carbon, Full Auto, and Untold Legends. I returned them all the first day because they were THAT bad (on PS3 at least). I made good use of my PS2 games during the first year or so of ps3's launch.
I think I'm going to get rid of this 20(160 hdd) gig model and get a slim soon. I always missed having wireless. I'm also trying to make better use of shelf space wherever I am, and the slim seems like a pretty good stand-in. It's supposedly freakishly quiet too, stays nice and cool while running, has wireless, and since I always had a 20 gig model, I don't know what it's like to sacrifice those extra front slots so they aren't a concern for me. I can't see myself using extra ports anyway. Th...
They should NEVER price anything at 399.99 anymore. They have to change the way people think of the console. 299.99 = attainable for most people. a 399.99 bundle is still the same unattractive pricepoint that got them so far behind.
it's STILL 399.99 though. they have to do better than that. they're lagging BECAUSE of those prices. Give the game away for free or for a little charge in the bundle, while charging full for the game seperately. It'll nudge people who want GT5 into buying the bundle. 399 is not where they want to be especially with the xbox bundle(s) that will be available.
That's just my thoughts. 399 doesn't look attractive in almost any situation now.
It's simple really, they'll always be ahead of Sony when it comes to pricing. They have the luxury to sit and wait, and prepare for any pricedrops from Sony (or any moves for that matter). MY guess was that they had the pricedrop and their halo bundle ready, knowing that Sony's slim/pricedrop was coming. A permanent pricedrop HAD to be set in place though. They'd get trampled otherwise.
Even if they didn't have the first to market advantage, MS would slash prices just to stay rel...
