Lets math, shall we. And also, lets just look at the 360.
At the time Black Ops 2 started taking pre-orders in the week ending on May 12th, Halo 4's pre-order count was up to 227k. At the end of June, 6 weeks later, Halo's pre-order count doubled Black Ops, 430k to 207k, and they were stride for stride in the weekly pre-order totals.
Enter July 1st, where Nuketown 2025 was announced.
Black Ops week-to-week numbers have exploded (pea...
Yeah, no smart person would take advantage of retailers promotions that give you deals, price reductions, coupons, let alone exclusive Pre-order swag/maps/skins/gear/etc. (IE $20 RWZ certificate from Best Buy)
No Hardcore gamer is going to pick and choose where they pre-order Halo 4 from to get the exclusive armor/gun skin they want.
Your logic fails, try again. SMART gamers go for deals.
Oh, and we're going to start using the term &quo...
A few things...
1) you missed your chance for a discounted package by not getting the Hardened Edition. $40 for all the extra maps, a $20 discount. You can still save $10 by going Elite.
2) IF an all in pack happens (which I don't will) it will be so far out you will be playing the MP maps by yourself. If you're in for the Spec Ops, then disregard.
Beta will be 1 month before the launch of the game, just like the BF3 beta.
Creepy AND Annoying! Just look at em, rising out of that water... Don't have a weapon that swings down? Hope you enjoy the toxic poison variety!
*shudder*
(I know full well that they are a good source of infinite souls & humanity. They still creep me out though.)
The article is very well done!
It does contain story spoilers, so read at your own risk.
Amazing, you don't live up to your name when trying to argue about "patches". You use a game were you fucking pay a $15 per month subscription, so they better patch the game, both in updates and in content. Bigger expansions are sold for retail prices.
CoD sells each year at retail, then you can pick and choose what expansions you want, if any.
Get over it.
Your argument fails horribly.
Can the CoD bashing be done yet?
Its SO 2011.
Agree with the balancing aspect. My lv 2 Darkwraith can output almost the same damage-per-hit as my Lv 130 GS of Artorias wielding tank. Something needs to be done about that next time around.
Rented Dark Souls in the afternoon, ran out to buy it right before GameStop closed. I otherwise wouldn't have risked $60 on an unknown.
There is a huge difference, and its really not debatable.
@leogets : A "Few" extra players? Last I checked 64-24 = 40. That's more than a "few!" You have gigantic maps, and having 2.6x the number of players from console to PC makes an enormous difference. And the graphics aren't just crisper. They're 1080p vs 720p-upscaled.
@FragMnTagM : You're just plain wrong as well. Basicaly every bullet point you listed makes a huge d...
Gotta grab em. The free ones are a lot of fun.
If I had the same PC that the game in the trailer was running on, I'd buy it in a second. The trailer gameplay looks amazing!
HOWEVER...
I'd like to see the trailer shot on the 360, since thats my current platform of choice. There would be a HUGE DIFFERENCE!
I find it humorous that our of all the Sony exclusives that have ever existed, this is the only game that has ever made me even consider buying a PS3! I won't though. =)
So Jealous!
Enjoy the game!
If it is an exact port of the console version, PLUS DLC that console gamers will have to pay extra for, in what way is it the "worst port this generation?"
A port is a port. Its not an upgrade... ITS A PORT. An upgrade would require MASSIVE CODING CHANGES & MASSIVE ART REDESIGN. Every texture would have to be 1080-ed. The entire engine that was designed to run at 30 FPS (at best... rofl Blighttown!) would have to be overhauled to run at 60 FPS+... IN ADDITION TO...
"I still trust Dice, even though EA calls the shots."
Thats like saying you trust Bioware, Treyarch, Infinity Ward, Blizzard or any of the other development houses owened by EA or Activision, or any other mega-publisher for that matter. Developers may have ideas, but they are forced to follow a single agenda, and whoever holds the purse strings sets it. Don't fool yourself. Look at Bioware's latest blunders, and its not just ME3. Blizzard as well.
Pros - Well known Bandai Namco licenses and characters will make an appearance and join the fight.
Example:
A NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES
PAC-MAN!
Cons - Lesser known licenses and characters may make it into the game
Example:
*Picks up and throws a pokeball*
"I choose you... Kingseeker Frampt?!?!?"
Framerate isn't locked, per-say, its just going to be a straight port without any upgrading to the engine or graphics or resolution.
Yeah, but how many times did it take you to take them down? Solo or grouped? Did you do research before hand?
Every boss has a "tell" when they do a move, so you're telling me you knew what to do the first time you fought them, and what to do when one went down?
Argh, I hate using my last bubble, but I guess I have to.
All the figures and trends up to the very bottom of my post are PS3-less, i made that disclaimer at the very top of my post.
Pre-orders to date for Halo 4 = 507k
Pre-orders to date for BlOps2 (360 only) = 429k
The 70k pre-orders last week were 360 exclusive, vs 25k for Halo 4.
PS3 had 43k of their own, and stands at 249k pre-orders, which I didn't mention until th...
