@Chucky... No added cost for CONSUMERS. As in... No hardware to buy (for most). I already have the XBox Live app on my iPhone, and it didn't cost me a dime. This will play out the same way, download an app, you're good to go.

The biggest selling point for this feature, however, is the fact that people will be able to use their OWN device with this App. Considering the number of smartphones and tablets owned by consumers, this is a perfect storm for the Xbox, IF they can pull it off for such a varied number of platforms, OS, resolutions, etc, power, etc.

Yeah I agree. Also, let the Dev team focus on one platform at a time. Get the PC out, get some bug fixes and patches and balancing fixed up and then get that finished product to the consoles.

People who purchase used games don't affect the developer/publisher bottom line at all. Most publishers make their money the first few months post release, long before used copies become readily available and at a price point that is cost effective vs. brand new.
New fans of the series can be captured when the price point comes down on new games (perfect example... STEAM), or via promotions (Buy this get this free!) and also via demos tha...
Here is my problem with Online Passes: Blockbuster FPS A & B come out. I'm undecided, but I am going to buy the game brand new, but not until I try both. Go get your eyes checked. The reason that 60 FPS is used as an argument is because it makes a WORLD of difference in the pacing and fluidity of a game. I'm not snubbing Halo for running at 30 FPS, but I couldn't even compete in Black Ops when I first started playing the series because it was TOO FAST. It's not trickery or Tom-foolery... The maps are tiny. They are designed from the ground up to only accommodate up to 4 people, not 12, and that is a huge design decision when map building.
Also, you're fooling yourself if you think this is cheating elite members. This content drop already has 2 maps (sanctuary & foundation) and 1 more full scale map is coming out, in addition to two of these small scale maps. 5 maps. I'm good with that.

You don't think the game is hard anymore because you have knowledge and experience, and that accounts for at least 100 Soul Levels. I'm going through a Lv 1 run right now, and its only possible because I know where to go, what to do, what to expect, & what/where/how to upgrade.
