Honestly, is anyone surprised after Dragon Age 2? Really? Horrific gameplay aside (wave after wave of baddies jumping from roofs?!?!?) the story was plain awful.
*SPOILER*
And Deus Ex Machina-ing Leliana into the story is utter bullcrap... "The Maker knew it wasn't my time" is quite possibly the biggest FUCK ALL to everyone who put hundreds of hours into Dragon Age Origins. Oh, you had to either PAY or PREORDER to get that little line, as it was in Sebastian...
Yeah, the ME3 ending is somehow worse than the Dragon Age 2 ending.
But Sandman is dead! DEAD!
If they don't charge for it, there will be a shitstorm. What about people that bought the game, beat it already, and in a fit of rage already sold it back? That would be just like EA to take a shot at the 2nd hand market... "Don't sell your EA games because you NEVER KNOW when we'll change something important... like the end..."
Well it's a good thing I don't want Bioware & EA to make any more games, because I'm sure as hell not paying for them.
I might rent. Or buy used. Or borrow. I won't pirate. But I will never, ever, EVER buy another EA product at retail.
And there is a very easy solution to the problem... don't support the game, the developer, or the publisher.
Let your friends and whatever communities you belong to know why, while being civil and persuasive.
Thats been the pace of all Mechwarrior games from the beginning, even the BattleTech Center "pods."
Oh.
My.
God.
Its like, perfect.
I wish those were the graphics and frame rate on consoles... that trailer looks amazing.
I bought COD4 to see what everyone was talking about, $10 well spent.
My analysis?
It sucks compared to BlOps & MW3!
You kids are crazy with your 4 year old nostalgia glasses on.... Those should only be effective 10+ years! Yes, you all had a blast playing COD4, it was critically acclaimed for its time. You played it so much you burnt out on the entire genre and nothing else will ever eclipse it.
"Back in my...
I've been boycotting EA the past 10 months for a horrific customer service experience that lasted MONTHS, which means I've passed on some major games, BF3 & SWTOR, both which I had preordered. I was ready to give them a chance again with ME3... until this happened. Canceled my preorder for ME3, and I don't regret it at all.
Not ALL DLC is trash, to your point where horse armor = crap and $15 expansions = good. Post-publish work on DLC has added to a number of games, and I support it where their extra time, effort, and polish shows.
This specific example (ME3) is trash. Javik = Shale = Zaaed, and to some extent Sebastian as well.
+ Bubble to you, Morganfell
This game has been delegated to the "Pick up used" pile.
Better yet, hopefully I can borrow it from someone who bought it used.
This game is going to be either a miraculous reboot to an amazing IP, or it is going to be an abysmal failure and we won't hear about Battletech & MechWarrior for another 5-10 years. I just hope the F2P model doesn't turn serious gamers off, and doesn't limit the overall product.
Thanks for that info, I searched and found a source.
I'm officially disapointed now. Not so much that I won't play it, and I will probably love it, but I am still disapointed.
I don't care what anyone says, from my personal experience the fluidity from 30 FPS to 60 FPS is graphically night and day. Like BF3 a lot. Like MW3 as well. When switching back and forth I need an adjustment phase... BF3 seems too slow, then MW3 seems too fast.
720? Great. What about FPS?!?!?
Why does everyone forget Dragon Age? Zevran?
Before I started DA2 (regrettably & begrudgingly...) I heard a lot of complaints about Anders being flaming & fabulous and pushing himself on a straight male Hawke. I never experienced anything like that. I'm sure if I CHOSE to flirt with him, dialogue would have changed, but I didn't.
So Shepard can now sleep with Alenko. Good on him, if you CHOOSE to do so. The inclusion doesn't mean games are grow...
If Halo 4 can copy CoD and push 60 FPS in multiplayer, I'll be perfectly content! I will have a real hard time playing Halo 4 if it isn't... Going from Reach to BlOps was a system shock. Going back was an even bigger shock... I thought that there were connection issues at first, I couldn't figure out why it was so slow!
Now, whenever I get more than a few hours of BF3 in and then switch back to MW3, I'm completely lost for a few rounds... I need to re-adapt...
Preorder canceled last week. I'm not supporting the practice of Day 1 DLC any more.
I shall pick this game up used, forgo the DLC and medicore multiplayer, and then finish off the story of my Shepard.
Before Dragon Age 2 came out, Bioware was quite possibly my favorite developer. After Dragon Age 2, well... lets just say I had to put a lot of faith into Bioware that Mass Effect 3 would be worth it.
Its not.
For the super super low unbelievable price of $10 you too can get the true ending to a story that has spanned years and that fans have already plunked down $250 to get the full experience!
I can't wait to play this now. Just to see how bad it is. Anyone want to sell me their copy? Maybe let me borrow it? I'll send it back once im done and if you decide to pay for the real ending.
Me, I'll watch it on youtubes.
