haha 3 disagrees & counting.
2 of the maps are FREE TO EVERYONE, that is very cool.
And the mode looks like it could be fun, they're forcing you to be more tactical and work as a team in 2v2.
I would be perfectly happy with digital distribution, but I have 2 conditions...
1) ISPs need to abandon the bandwidth caps they currently have in place, or drastically raise them.
2) With the coming of digital distribution, services like Redbox, Blockbuster, & Gamefly will become obsolete, which means people using those services to try games before buying will be left without an option... Every game needs an actual downloadable DEMO or TRIAL of their FINAL product. No 8 m...
It is not a blatent ripoff. Its a smart move, for both MS & consumers, and it will save some consumers money.
Why?
Credit Cards. Most major purchases by average consumers are put on credit cards and paid off over time, typically via the card's minimum payment. If you've ever been late with a payment, say hello to 32.00% APR.
Even with miraculous credit and a 10% APR card, you're still saving money with the MS Store plan.
It is still cheaper than using a credit card, they skip Visa/Master Card and collect directly on a lowered interest rate.
Oh, lets add one more tidbit of math to the problem.
A lot of people can't afford to throw down anywhere from $350 - $450 in one go, so what would they normally use???
CREDIT CARDS!!!
Check out the credit card calculator from the US Federal Reserve website (google, i can't direct link)
Go ahead and throw in whatever value you want in for the best deal you can get, and then throw in you your CC APR%. After it tells you...
That "Extra Content" that had been rumored didn't come to light, apparently.
Granted you can get the whole package cheaper on sale if you're bargin hunting (a LOT cheaper actually), but the cable/sports services that were rumored would have been a deal maker for some people (including myself). I don't have cable and if I could access specialized programming it might have been worth it.
But now it isn't.
While that comment can be taken either positive or negative, it can also be taken objectively.
CoD's biggest enemy is itself at this point, as sales of MW3 vs BlOps1 attests.
MoH is a single player game, and that won't affect the majority of CoD players at all who are looking for the multiplayer experience (Even if it is copy/paste for the past 6 years).
The time between the release of BlOps2 & Crysis 3 won't let one dictate t...
Fail @ replying.
Can I disagree myself? Guess not.
Wow. Tell me how you really feel.
And I guess I should have had my sarcasm filter on, or maybe you misread my post? I wasn't clear enough? Actually looking back at the wording, I can see how it could have misconstrued.... in the sentence "Thats why I'm buying it, AND not because I like the series." the AND plays a big part. If the AND wasn't there it would certainly imply that I was just throwing $60 away. (or in my case, probably $100). A big /SARCASM w...
#6) To intentionally piss off everyone who keeps preaching on and on why you shouldn't buy it.
Thats why I'm buying it, and not because I like the series. Actually, the mere fact that I enjoy the multiplayer means I'm apparently a sheep and/or lemming and not a "hardcore" gamer.
Did you beat Dark Souls without any help from the internet/guides?
That is what I thought. And if you did, feel free to /sign
Hahaha! When I linked to the video, the full BlOps2 trailer was the advertisement.
Cinematic trailers are an abomination. Use in-game graphics to hype your game or nothing at all. Well, D3 graphics are pretty bad to begin with, I can see why they wouldn't want to highlight them... Talk about a dated engine...
@ShottySnipa417
So you want more of a "living" environment. Thats the first time I've seen an actual request for a feature besides "WTB New Engine." I'll give you that. I don't know how they can pull it off at the FPS they aim for with each release, and in all honesty I'm fine with "modified" engine for THIS generation as long as it keeps up the high FPS. Frankly for 1st person, 30 FPS gives me a headache.
@Majin-vegeta ...
I don't get the "Better Engine" argument for all the hating on Call of Duty. How do you want it better? How much more horsepower do you think ANYONE can push this current console generation and keep the high frame rate, with up to 18 players connected?
Don't bring up Battlefield 3. Its 30 FPS. You can still do a lot with this generation at 30 FPS, though I wasn't particularly impressed to begin with. (opinion would be 100% different if I played on a PC ...
Of course its a new game engine!
Walking tanks!!?!??!?!?
/sarcasm
NM, just used the power of the interwebs and found the answer for myself.
The answer is : Yes.
Nice...
Does screen size matter!?!?
The 7"-tablet-formerly-known- as-Memo370t is looking to be a day 1 buy to me, especially now that its being branded by Google, and if OnLive works on the smaller screen, I'm all in.
I guess the disagree-ers don't know how numbers work.
$60 > $50.
And I actually saved $20 by buying the Hardened edition @ $99.99, as it came with Elite. Depending on how BlOps2 pans out, I may do the same next year as well.
If you purchase Elite for any other reason than the maps & getting them early, then you're delusional... just plain bat-shit crazy.
It HAS to maintain the 60FPS though. No exception there.
Not entirely sure how they'll do it...
It has brilliant writing, it ties previous games choices in subtly, and up to a point (just after the last battle) its an amazing experience. Just after that and to the finish line it gets really questionable.
If you've played 1 & 2, there is no reason to NOT play.
If you haven't played any, I wouldn't just jump into #3... a lot won't make sense.
But don't let the ending deter you from playing. After all, seeing Tali...
Probably won't be able to join a public 1v1 with a party greater than 1.
