You won't see a CoD player playing BF3, because they're too busy playing MW2 and BO.

Same here for a long time, its still a top 5 for me personally.
When the MP works, it is brilliant. I was summoned to assist someone, and then 30 seconds after the summoning someone invaded. Great scenario.
My problem is, 50% of the times I try to invade or when someone tries to invade me, or even just summoning, I get kicked off of XBox Live and need to restart the machine. If that gets fixed, then I'll be very happy.
@DigitalRaptor
Read the Destructiod review? OK.
Background: the most time I've played an Uncharted game was 5 minutes at a GameStop, so I don't really have an opinion of the series, good or bad. Lets see what this review does to inform me about this game...
I'm done reading, and that was a really glowing review for an action movie. I'd love to see it. Sounds like there are a lot of great action sequences and memorable characters, something...
"Albert Einstein defined insanity as performing the same actions over and over again and expecting different results. Going by that definition, playing Dark Souls is pure lunacy. And I’m not crazy enough to go along with it."
For starters, Einstein didn't. If he did, please link the source (Rita Mae Brown is attributed with the quote in one of her books).
Second, if you're performing the same actions over and over of course you're g...
IE 8.0.6001, its a work PC so I can't go upgrading on my own.
For the record, it looks slightly better on Firefox. The background gradient helps a little, but there are some really bright spots on the left side of that pic (a variant happens to be my desktop background!) so it still makes it a little hard to read.
Hope that helps
Edit: Also in the interest of helping out... When on IE and the page first loads, it looks like the gradient back...
Woah! Can't read the review, the white text on the Dark Knight background = instant headache!
If you have Redbox in your area, rent DS first. It truly isn't for everyone, despite all the arguments on both sides of the "Its too hard!" fence. After $2 and a few hours I knew it WAS for me and bought it the next day.
My only question is why they can't push the patch up a few days so they can get the games to reviewers who can then go over a "finished patched" product?
BF3 gets reviews, which in turn may boost sales with the fence sitters.
This game has been living and breathing off of hype, and to pull back at the 11th hour when they can go for a slam dunk seems a bit... odd...
Rent. $2 at Redbox and a few hours playing greatly influenced my decision to pick it up. Believe me, an hour or two is all you're going to need to figure out if you like the game or not.
Ultima Online 2 & Ultima X. So sad.
It is an amazingly refreshing change of pace, but could I play every game like this? No.
If I had to make a comparison, I wouldn't call the game "adult". Its more like Zelda for cutters.
You'd be surprised... just when you think you're past they might lunge-stab you in the back or do a leaping attack. There is definitely some skill involved when running past a group without getting hit.
Thats their business model for any complaints. Try it out, make up a complaint and get to their tier 2 phone support. They'll give you whatever you want thats available on Origin for free as long as it has been out for a while. I had a legitimate probelm and instead of giving me an answer they wanted to give me free games to shut me up. Whatever you do, try to avoid dealing with Tier 3 email support, I had a horrible time with them.
Fix item consumption on failed attempts to invade due to server issues.
I have been getting really picky with my games lately, and have done a lot of renting and DLing demos to try before I buy. I rented this on Tuesday, and contemplated skipping work on Wednesday to get the most time out of it before it had to be returned. I'm not spending another dime on renting it again because this one is going to be bought VERY soon. AMAZING game. I just wish they would fix the ability to invade, if it fails it shouldn't consume the item!
European Release = European Date Format
DD/MM/YYYY as opposed to MM/DD/YYYY
Though if the game was released last week then the video is definatly older than just today.
Completely agree. My pre-order has been canceled as well, and like you said, it has NOTHING to do with glitches or graphics, it is all about just not liking how the game played on the 360.
Now IF I had a PC rig that could handle the game at full graphic settings, I can imagine 32 v 32 Conquest would be a different ballgame. But I don't.
I'm not impressed. I just can't get over where spawn points are located and having to run a minute to get to some action. Thats what killed Brink for me.
Beta deleted, pre-order refunded. Guess it just isn't my thing. Oh, and the article starts with "On top of noticing how gorgeous the game looks"... He must not be playing the X360 version. If I had an awesome gaming PC my opinion would probably be different.
Wait, a disagree w/o anything to back it up? Yeah, I'm used to it!
