LOL the character customization was absurd, you could get some FUNKY looking people. I wasn't a fan of how moving a slider affected all the sliders on the page, that was limiting.
I usually end up using a default face since I wear helms with the faces covered up anyway!

I liked the fact that there wasn't a story being spoon fed to you. It led to the feeling of isolation. Also, in a game where you can wipe out any and all NPCs before you even talk to them, it would be hard to convey a story in a traditional sense!
$10-$15 is pretty consistent with the FPS genre. $10 got you 2-3 maps for Halo, $15 gets you a 3-4 MP maps & 1-2 spec ops/co-op missions for CoD & BF3...
$15 gets you a month of WoW or SWTOR subscription.

Amen to that. I cancled my preorder yesterday morning. I MIGHT pick it up used in a few months, without DLC... not supporting the machine anymore.
No Joke. While I have been against Day 1 DLC, especially in this case (and have been vocal about it), death threats against developers is extremist behavior.

While characters like Shale, Zaeed, Katsumi, and Sebastian aren't vital to the games they are in, they add to the entire experience, and getting them post credits because you enjoyed the game is pointless. Fine, i don't care if quick scoping stays in the game. HOWEVER, you know that "range" value guns have? Well, instead of max bullet damage at all ranges, make sniper rifles have a minimum range before they inflict max damage. 2 quick scope non-head shots is acceptable at close range.
Or just remove auto aim entirely... It's really annoying when you have a bead on someone, and then another enemy runs behind and your reticle auto drags (laggy) towards them.

I just got BF3 for the 360 a few days ago (used, $20, Plus Online pass! Take that EA). It is a good game, and one of the best looking I've ever played, even at 30 FPS.
However.
COD @ 60 FPS is superior for the genre ON CONSOLES. I would LOVE a PC rig that could handle BF3 running 60 FPS @ 1080p... 64 player conquest... that would be awesome, as some of you could probably attest.
