Hopefully not too many spoilers...
Well, the complaint about black phantoms is unfounded, and I'm learning this from experience right now... you can only invade your level and above (up to 700??) using the red eye orb & cracked variant. Now, if you use some other methods, ie Forest & Darkmoons, then level doesn't matter, but you essentially opt in by being in those areas. Gravelord I'm not sure, I've only run into 1 in 100+ hours of play. Now, would ...
While that particular video didn't explain anything, I overlooked 1 thing... Split Screen. I never use it so I didn't think of it. That would work, but that would also be insanse and not worth the time/effort/money.
Said it below, you all are getting trolled. Someone creates a Twitter account, starts spouting nonsense and you all take is as truth?
Besides, how can 6 copies of the game running at the same time help him boost anyway?
You guys are getting uber-trolled by someone who made that twitter account on December 9th.
And besides, can someone tell me how you can boost with just 6 copies of the game? You would be on the same team, but with only 1 person to control, you would have to have the other controller sticks taped up so it registers as moving so they won't get DCed, and how does that help you boost? 1 vs 6 does not bode well.
Just like global warming, the increase of violent crimes can be attributed to the decrease of global pirate activity. You'll clearly notice the trend since the beginning of the 1900s.
Videogames do not make people kill other people. Politicians are are plenty good at that.
Thanks for the backup, Hicken. Also, we are talking about a media source that has been RELATIVELY ad free, yes there have been advertisments on Xbox Live, but they usually let you download a gamer pic or theme (A special thanks to Outback for my Bloomin Onion gamer pic!) and they have not been too obtrusive in the past. If you historically look at paper media (newspapers, magazines), TV (antenna & cable), and even radio, advertisments have been around since their commerical inception.
No kidding. It makes no sense why there are advertisments anyway, its a paid service. I can however see Silver members getting ads.
Now, I am all for ANY shotty getting a 1 hit kill, at CLOSE RANGE. If you get the jump on me, yeah, I deserve to sprayed, however the Range Perk lets Strikers 1 shot at Mid-range! 3 shots, yeah I can see that! 2 shot head shot? Sure! 1 shot?!?!?! WTF.
Can we all just agree that anything with a number 3 in the title should be on the list?
Majin, I usually don't agree with you, but Brink is by far the worst "Hyped" game this year. I pre-ordered, and I'm SO glad I spent the $2 at Redbox. Saved myself $60.
I shall give you a SPAS-12 buff as long as the Striker gets nerfed HARD. I'm sick of getting 1 shot sniped with a shotgun 1/2 way across the map (slight exageration).
Going to disagree. Dark Souls is an open world. If you can see the location, you can explore it, and there are very few physical barriers preventing you from doing so. Kind of like Skyrim, you can see a mountain and walk to it. You are not bound by "levels" or "zones" in either game.
I've always had a soft spot for the Elder Scroll games, ever since Arena. However, in my old age I've come to the decision that fetch/delivery quests belong in the same level of hell as achievements and trophies and the Kardashians. I don't need some NPC to tell me to fetch 10 shoestrings or rescue 6 slaves from the dickwolves (AND ONLY 6!!! Penny Arcade) for a few coins or an enchanted garter belt. Thats why I stopped playing WoW, why I quit the SWtOR beta after 20 minutes, and w...
Yeah... he was the first one I was targeting. And it goes perfectly with point 5, I have NO clue how to fight him. I haven't wiki-ed it, watched it, nothing. Did I want to gamble my 55k souls and 2 crucial levels or fall back, gather myself, maybe go in as Human & see if anyone else was there with a sign down? I had already died in the lair once, I wasn't going to waste what I had earned.
Just made it to Nito's fog gate (I think) earlier today. I had enough souls on me for 2 levels (55k). I sat debating for 5 minutes if I should go in or not, wussed out, Homeward Boned it, and warped out of the Tomb.
I'll go back... soon...
You still got ripped off, if you waited a month you could have gotten BF3 for less than $30. Add BtK (the "bonus" DLC, old recycled maps) for another $15 (OMG! EA CHARGING $15 for DLC????), and you're still ahead.
Get over yourselves. EA is just as bad as Activision. Go buy/play whatever you want. What else... Oh yeah. O'Doyle Rules!
Yeah, I'm in the disagree camp, and with 1 bubble left I'll try to be as consice as possible in this post.
All the optional quests, paths, bosses, covenants...
Guess what? They're optional.
I posted above about how I found the Darkmoon Covenant & Gwendolyn. I also ran across a note leading me to the Chaos Servant Covenant. I probably would have NEVER have found either of them on my own, and I was able to with the help of an in-game mechan...
Getting help when you need it is one thing. If you refuse help, then make sure to never read a single note left on the ground by other players. I have found NUMEROUS secret passageways and treasures, avoided NUMEROUS traps, and found some of the hidden covenants because people left thoughtful, intelligent, intuitive notes.
I give thanks to the DS community for helping me find Gwendolyn & the Darkmoons, as they mentioned a ring & covenant at the correct spot. I was ...
If you're playing games just to get all the trophies/achievements, then you are a part of the generation of gamers gone just plain wrong.
"Please give me recognition for doing something I'm supposed to do anyway!"
"I need to feel special!"
Play the game, don't feel the need to collect every special weapon beacuse you get a little badge & a few points.
From a technical standpoint it is far from perfect. When slowdown in one zone, one spot where I got physically stuck (that a quit/resume fixed), and a few "fall through the world" spots get overlooked by the amazing world that is Lordran, the combat, the depth, the choice, the story (ITS THERE!), the game mechanics, and online component, then that equates to my GOTY as well.
Haven't played Skyrim. I'll give it a try now that my dad got it for xmas. Probab...
