People think an HD version is in the pipeline, when the very decision to have the game on Wii was due to the HD dev costs? Its common sense here. As for this game coming to psp..give me a break. I didn't believe that Chinese photograph questioning the exclusivity and I'm glad I didn't. MH3 is Wii exclusive. They may make a spin off or something for the psp, or maybe even the DS. But not this game.

Smash and Mario Kart are similar in that very way. The other day I was talking to my friend about this very idea, which is those two games are so easy for anyone to pick up and play. Smash is very simple, but the gameplay is VERY deep, if you so choose to explore it, same for Kart. But with both of those games there is no mastering them, you can only continue to get better.
This trend you speak of for a while now, its not just limited to sites like gameplayer either, magazines like gameinformer and the like act like the Wii doesn't even exist. The funny thing is though, many of the multiplat are just plain better on the Wii. But all they want to talk about is Wii music.

Is one of the older excuses/rumors which has been disputed by actual numbers. Numbers don't lie. Also where is a triple A effort from 3rd parties? When the effort comes and the sales don't then they can talk. Also the woes are actually much worse for the HD consoles, there have been many articles stating that such high costs for HD development is bleeding the industry, even games that make it to the million sold lists don't always provide profit.
Questionable business decisions as of late, Square has to HOPE that their support for the 360 in Japan will boost 360 sales. All the $$ they've invested...To be honest, I bet they'll release FFXIII for both 360 and PS3 in Japan also, just by their current trends.
