I'm just failing to see that logic, I'm sorry. DMC4 was worst than DMC2, and DMC4 had HD graphics on its side. Graphics don't and have never made the game. You are absolutely correct, TP was a gamecube game, which was probably the best looking game on any platform last gen (Prime and RE4 also in the running). So if a Zelda game made for the Wii ground up would look several times better than TP. TP was not a bad game by any means, I might add. But horsepower and graphics will never be the end ...
Many are over examplifying the importance of graphics. TP has way better graphics than OoT or any zelda before it, but it is not a better game. I was thinking about this, the reason OoT is considered the greatest game ever (by me atleast) is because it felt so new, the GAMEPLAY was something we had never experienced before. Mario's transition to the Wii worked very well and graphically is very awesome looking. If Aonuma wants to make a superior Zelda than OoT, graphics is not going to be his ...
Is still living in fantasy land.
I didn't buy madden 09 for Wii. They went in a direction that is less simulated and more emulated of Wii Sports. I love Wii sports, especially Tennis. But I buy madden for the simulation expierience. EA thinks if they use big headed mini games and tack on a cheesy tag line that the so-called casuals will flaunt to it? Its almost insulting. I hope with 2010, EA decides to maintain a meat and potatos experience on Wii and take the series seriously on the system. Call your shots is an excellent ...
I thought I smelled something foul..But I had no idea it was this zombie horse again.
I'm not even gonna get into the usual debating of hardcore and casual and the like. But I will say these articles pop up far too frequently. This dead horse needs to stay dead, because its extremely tired, and really..well, weak.
IGN has really gone to the dump lately, half assed reviews and news that is really irrelevant alot of the time, and now we are getting nonsensical edit...
The Wii is a global phenomenon, it seems to be breaking records and setting records left and right.
I was just about to say the same thing. Basically in the 80's and 90's (SNES) Nintendo was seen as the big bad publisher who had strict standards and such. Sony with PS1 was much less tight and third parties went to greener pastures. Now that nintendo adopted this strategy now all of a sudden its a huge problem, but it wasn't a huge problem for the ps2? Gimme a break. The excuses that many sony fans will say is "sony had more good games" fine if you wana go with that weak argument f...
Is the epitome of the word masterpiece. It was so revolutionary and impacted our industry in so many ways. The greatest game of all time, 10 years later and still relevant? few games have that ability.
Silly of the article to say owners of Wii do so just because they want to be part of some bandwagon. Also saying the ps3 hasn't really gotten started? its been over 2 yrs now if it aint get started by now it aint gonna.
It sucks that you can't reply but this would be my list in no particular order:
Brawl (Best Smash game ever..and my favorite multiplayer game)
Prime 3 (Masterpiece)
Galaxy (Best platformer this gen)
No More Heroes (very unique)
Mario Kart (Best console kart game since the N64
Tiger Woods 09 (Best golf sim game I've ever played)
RE4 (the definitive version)
Shaun White Snowboarding (awesome)
Skate it (surprisingly good)

That's one way of looking at it. The other can be that the lists placement of some games is out of wack. But again, if nothing else it shows Wii does have games worth playing, not just "minigames" and "casual crap" that fanboys like to spout about.
I have to disagree, that game single handedly solidified my faith in what the Wii can offer. After that game playing ANY game in a fp perspective without the Wii-mote felt very robotic. And dare I say it...last gen.
With some of the placements or some choices but I think it does show that Wii does have games (Good and Great) contrary to fanboy beliefs. Also I do believe Prime 3 can arguably be considered the best single player experience on Wii.
The thing is I don't think ppl really comprehend how insane this is. The THIRD xmas in a row experiencing shortages, that is a phenomenal occurence. I've never seen such longevity for a fad!
/Sarcasm
Steve, is that how its done? ; )
Yes Mahr's arguments are always that air tight, and he's one of the better posters on this site. I'd reccomend tracking him.
That's what I call a post.
I'm no fan of gamepro either but most of their suggestions are harmless, they want Mario to be the referee, stuff like that. But I definitely agree with your gamepro assesment.
Because ppl want it. Yes it really is that simple.
All that, and ONLINE..I'm so looking forward to this game.
Is a sales monster. Didn't they have an article on this site that said psp's are used more as multimedia devices than gaming machines? But Nintendo has always owned the handheld market, thanks to Gunpei and the gameboy. The DS will pass the ps2 in ltd sales, and it deserves it. It began as a "casual fad" and now it has the most diverse library ever. Ppl claiming they aren't in the same market? are you kidding me? PSP is doing well for the loser though.
