Are very interesting, and some..not so much. As usual I agree with the usual suspects (u guys know who you are). This whole idea of Nintendo killing the industry is just another lame fanoboy talking point. It makes no sense, there's no data to back up this ridiculous claim (and in fact data to prove the opposite)

Yeah PS3 is expected (by Activision) to outsell the 360 by what 1 million? But Wii was expected to further its domination in 09..Funny how the title left that little tidbit out.
I agree wholeheartedly with you man. But I also don't think TP was a bad game, in fact its very good. Zelda is one of those series where there are no bad Zelda games (minus the cd-i shi*). Even with overyped reviews and such OoT still remains the highest rated game ever. And in my opinion is still the goat. It was phenomenal.
Most of the posts here, I think connection is important also. But for me, this game deserves GOTY. I've been loving the game for damn near 9 months now and still find it enjoyable.
I think the best word to describe brawls online is inconsistent. Sometimes I've had games where its as smooth as a local match, other times its pretty sketchy. But with friends its mostly smooth for me. With anyone is very hit or miss. For the most part though I've had a good online experience. My friend actually posts our matches on youtube.
I guess this article was written before the DSi began selling 170k in the first 2 days of launch.
Brawls online should take it out of the running for GOTY. For me its def my favorite multiplayer game this gen by far. I think its waay better than Melee. Plus I haven't experienced some of the extreme lag some people describe. But I'd definitely agree that MK's online is way better.
Many fanboy driven websites claiming that it wouldn't sell. And once again I have to agree with Captain S about the double standard going on, psp sells 140k in a week DSi does 30k more than that in 2 days, it is quite incredible, Nintendo is def king in Japan.
Similar things will happen with games like the Conduit and MH3. Not too long ago there was an article claiming the Conduit wouldn't sell, if the game is good, it will sell. I'd bet on the Conduit hittin the platinum mark...
10 years later still has the highest gameranking % as well as the highest metacritic score of 99. It won't be touched this gen, Not even Galaxy (THE highest rated game of this gen) comes close. Nor does LBP or the overhyped 10 train of GTAIV. I really don't understand why ppl are comparing Galaxy to LBP. Its a useless situation, and since when does 2nd place matter?

Because when I played OoT back in 1998, that game had me stumped more than a few times, and I won't even get started on the the Water Temple. I find it curious that you don't see other games mentioned from this gen when clearly some of these games are extremely easy..and SHORT. Alot of posts were speaking of how huge LBP would be in Japan, that is fact and as of right now it doesn't look to big. But to be fair this is only one day of sales, I certainly hope the game sells not just in Japan but world wide. Variety is definitely needed in our industry. But the Wii-mote and chuck combo is the best console set for fps controls. I don't see how you could dispute this. Or even talk about n64 control and during that era it was revolutionary as well, dual analog has reached its limits, every time I see a fps with dual analog it looks so limiting. And Prime 3 was a better game because of the enhanced control it gave you and immersed you into and trhoughout the entire game. I doub't you even played the game, or if you did, you didn't finish it.
But OoT is my favorite 3-d zelda game (mm close 2nd) For me the WW and Tp disappointed me to an extent. Wind Waker alil more so. I was one who wasn't really feeling the change in art style with that game. especially coming off of two masterpieces which went for the realistic look. I think TP was a gorgeous game and had art direction rivaled only by RE4 and Prime 3 last gen.

I didn't name specific titles for PS3 or 360, I made a general comment about Prime 3's graphics being able to compete with their (ps360)offerings, though I do think that Prime's art direction trumps most HD consoles art direction by a wide margin. Primes art direction and style made it a game that looked better than 360 and ps3 titles, plus it hit the magic number of 60fps. Obviously from a technical standpoint Prime can't compete with a gears or resistence. But art style goes a long way. With that said I think the Conduit is pushing much heavier tech than the Prime 3 engine ever did, and in motion the game looks very "current gen". The only ppl claiming this was gonna be a stand-in for Mario were PS3 fanboys living in fantasy land. There shouldn't even be a comparison as the two games are nothing alike. Mario is a gaming icon, as well known as Mickey mouse..maybe moreso. You don't get that status overnight. Just enjoy the game if you have it, simple as that. For the sake of argument though, I will say I prefer Galaxy to this game. It's still the highest rated game this gen;)
