It is from major nelson, it will be nothing. He is paid to hype up things that noone cares about.

@black you are full of crap. Literally booted the game up, took a picture, uploaded to imgur and wrote a comment starting about 1 minute after your comment, with no issue, the service detector site still says up and in a party with 5 people...

Your comment is exactly why these articles are stupid, people who don't even own the console make crap up.

Literally just popped in between games, wasn't down for me, but even for those who it was, it is already back up and has been since about 10 minutes after this article....

https://support.xbox.com/en...

But seriously, since when is a supposed 30 minute down-time a news story? PSN and XBL are almost never down, yet we get a stupid story that at best is approved after the outage is...

Expect, sure, but what difference is it really? You cannot play these games without downloading the content off the disc and onto the harddrive anyway, so not sure why you are so much concerned where the file originates from if it just gets copied to the HDD anyway.....

Geez spyro having its content be partially digital is really not that big of a deal, you guys over-dramatize everything.

Lol, true, but I will say, almost everyone I know including myself spend the MASSIVE majority of our time playing MP games, so pretty stupid sticking point to be upset about a game dedicating resources on the part people play most. Regardless of Call of Duty being a good/bad game.

@nic
"because he/she may have had help "releasing" the game, she deserves no credit?"

No, because the game requires no actual coding knowledge and requires very little actual skill, there is nothing worth praising, and ANY 7 year old could do this with little to no exception programming skills. I am saying, the parts of releasing/creating this game that are potentially impressive for someone of that age were almost positively not done by the chi...

Man, this is. A really bad thing for those who emulate, but especially bad for the archival of otherwise non-existent are essentially unobtainable games, this is a really crappy thing.

This is not what most consider harmful in terms of pirating games, etc, because these games are largely not even purchasable anymore, let alone on it's original hardware, that money will never go to the devs regardless. Pretty disappointing for sure.

@dilly writing such a minimalist program is not the part I think the kid did not do, as I said licensing, branding/opening the business front, making an install package, etc were almost positively not done by the kid, heck even though the game is simplistick, I also am sure the parents or family helped with any parts the kid struggled on, despite being something a first day freshmen in a highschool programming would be able to program in a single class

I agree terminal, could be plagerism, but could also just be that there are only so many ways to describe a game, especially the more specific/niche it is.

Not saying he did not steal the format and wording, just saying maybe he did not do so intentionally and that the differences seem pretty reasonable enough to see it as possibly just a similar writing style and take on the game.

Ok, I will make a sub-par product, claim my kid made it and then sell the story to media platforms to promote the product, I expect you all to pay up because there is no proof that is what happened......

2876d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

The story is BS just like all the "look what my kid did" stories. The parents or a family member made it and give the kid credit which gives them free publicity and minimal scrutiny on their product. Looks like it works every time though, because people cannot think for themselves.

Not saying the kid did nothing, but definitely would say he did the minority or the dev work, licensing, etc and it is basically a first day introductory coding project.

@star I have very little doubt that CDPR will handle it well, but I fear there will be a few major devs who fall into the trap of adding overt political commentary/opinion in unappealing ways due to the current state of politics in the real world, which will be a very bad thing IMO.

Political narratives in games are great, but I like it most when there is a choice or vagueness to the correct answer rather than propaganda, personal ideology or biased representations with real-world implications. As long as it is done right it is an absolutely a positive thing, but if this is a way for them to say "we intend to interject our personal political agenda into our game" then that seems less positive.

I agree skyrim was more enjoyable and more in depth (customization and player skill wise) IMO.

Plus it is hard to compare a game where every item in a world has it's own physics to a game with mostly static items and environments. When the witcher allows you to interact move and use almost every object in the game, then we can compare, I personally think Skyrim is equally as technically impressive given all of the variables and points of failure that is inherent with su...

Same, a google platform has HUGE potential, but you know it will be a P2W slightly better than mobile platform, and they will try to integrate it all into their google play platform, which is fine, but is just going to entice people to make their games also support phone. Will be pointless in the end, google would have to be willing to make a whole different ecosystem if they wanted to make a real competitive console, and I highly doubt they would ever do that.

Yea, regardless of if this is a troll or legitimate, I honestly think R&C is in my top 3 PS4 games, and that is among plenty of competition.

Anyone who prefers their purchases for a game be locked to 1 console, despite it being possible to access across all platforms the game is on is just an idiot. Plain and simple. Popular or not. If someone cam explain why they would like or even prefer their digital content purchases to be locked to a single platform, when not required, is a good thing, then I will be readily admit I am wrong.

But as an owner of all 3 consoles any game that can and will allow content to work...

Man, I can only assume those saying this game is polished and better than pubg and fortnite are trolling or just such huge fanboys, they saw PS4 in the title and black out into a typing frenzy. This game is not only not polished, but has very poor game mechanics also compared to competition.....
