Pretty, inconsequential difference. In fact, the difference is almost entirely just a vocabulary difference.

Point is, hardware is still required, that hardware would still be subject to tariff at good cost and virtualized or dedicated, the hardware requirements are that of a modern console. Seems to me the idea of cloud gaming somehow just means it magically works with no hardware or that existing infrastructure requires no change for Stadia. Pretty unrealistic understandi...

"how inept does Nintendo have to be to limit players to 32 levels in order for Nintendo to properly curate them?"

Right, with 4 millions copies sold (for the first, probably more on switch) 100 levels is potentially 400mil let's say only 1% of players create 100 levels, that 1% alone is 4 million levels. But sure, it is ineptitude, not volume that is the limiting factor.... not even worth arguing with you, you clearly have made your mind up on being upset no m...

You literally just complained against your own argument. Not sure how you don't see that. Fewer levels = more ability for Nintendo to curate, incentivizes people to create better levels since they have less storage (though realistically effecting almost noone) and allowing Nintendo to reward creators who are doing good work with larger upload counts. As well as making user ratings and play counts to be the only measuring stick.

None of those things are solved by unlimit...

Makes sense, they don't have unlimited storage, and people who have high ratings or community downloads I am sure will be offered more space. Not that unbelievable.

It also incentivizes people who are content creators to really make sure their levels are good, which I see as only a plus TBH.

You would prefer to go through 7000 crap levels to find one good one? Or have a more curated/limited marketplace where the levels are more likely to be thoughtfu...

To be fair, it is absolutely stupid engage in equivalent trade with a country that allows Child and near-slave labor, Who will inflate their currency or devalue their currency at the cost of their constituents, has among the worlds worst carbon footprints and who constantly steals others IPs and designs without any road block. Seems more immoral to subsidize that.

It is also kind of unfair to hold France, or Germany to the same trading policy with us as we would with China...

"Epic, make your exclusives that people want instead of paying other developers to not release their products on another service."

You do realize first and third party exclusives are games made by a developer for a platform holder for money. If Epic is paying developers for their content, why is is so upsetting for them to expect that content to benefit them? It isn't you guys are just Steam fanboys.

I am more interested in more developers h...

Same reason people stick with android/iOS to a lesser extent. They have all their purchased content and function on that platform, so using a new platform, in this case means you will have your content split between the two (in the epic/steam case) specifically all hour old content, which means people would be less inclined to use another platform or even give it a try, without it. Though it is a pretty crappy business policy, it is no different than any other market/product, so it is weird t...

It is true, they charge devs 30% to host content on their platform, that is why companies are making their own launchers or fleeing to epic en masse. Then you have people on here whining when they have a different logo on their game launcher.

Nothing wrong with Steam, just really cannot understand how people can complain about how their game starts....

Obviously there are some features steam has that can be useful, such as cloud saves and mod support, bu...

@vega "No Linux "

They never said they would have Linux support and a huge number of games ON STEAM, do not work on Linux, Steam works on Linux, not every game on it.... The rest of those features either already are in Epic game launcher or will be out before the game launches as per the link I sent before. (and below) Again though, at best achievements and cloud saves are the only to even remotely relevant points on that list for a single player games...

I know when I ask for Aquafina and someone give me Dasani I am extremely upset also, I totally agree with you guys. If my water bottle (or games) come from the wrong name brand I lose my s**t. You have convinced me. Aquafina come in much stronger plastic and The colors are more appealing and drinking anything else is simply ridiculous.

One bottle is a fully functioning water delivery system, the other is not.

You guys are definitely right, not sheep follo...

IDK, this direct has been absolutely amazing so far. Not sure a lot of it is really unexpected/unannounced, but mostly gameplay and all look great.

Ok, well anyone can just say words that make something seem true. The fact you gave no actual reason, and just gave negative conjecture shows exactly my point. You are a fanboy of a brand making an argument for a series of letters because it is the series of letters you like most. Pretty pathetic really.

Obviously being new there are going to be differences, but th...

Why does it matter? It is the same freaking game, with the same hardware requirements it would be on Steam. It literally makes no difference other than people whining about a brand name they prefer. They are both free platforms and they both do the same things.

What? It has no more artifacting, screen tear or grainy-ness than any other youtube video upload. You are legitimately just making things up and people will agree despite people who live stream every day in 4k on youtube with no issue... you either are grabbing experience from other streaming platforms like twitch, or have not seen youtube live streaming in the last 2 years.

You can even do 360° live stream with automatic stitching at same quality as an uploaded video...

As for the latency, I can only assume they will be hosting from the same places as their current services, so if you do a ping test and cut it in half, that is a decent latency test. (Though the return on the round trip is usually shorter and waiting on a reply can so...

Have you ever streamed a 4k, 60fps video pn youtube? Pretty safe to assume that will be the image quality obviously, considering it is similar bandwidth required for each...

You clearly aren't very informed on the subject. Latency may be an issue though, that is to be seen, though you can easily run a ping to google and get an idea of what kind of latency you will receive, though, we don't know which server farms will spin up stadia consoles. (maybe all can)

Makes sense given ps4 market share, the fact that one x is newer than ps4 pro and that Sony has given the most public info on their new console. That said, Sony's support for the PS4 (game-wise) obviously is going to put them substantially ahead in terms of hype, right out of the gate.

@rime "Well manufacturing certain products will increase the cost of the product to consumer. "

You also are one of those people who demand $15 minimum wage, paid maternity leave and unions, but if you have to pay an extra 5% for a product to be made in those conditions, (it does not cost 25% more that is the tax being levied) you are all for having countries with child and semi-slave labor working for pennies a day manufacture your products. Makes sense.
