and it's safe to assume that PS3 owners are casual viewers, with a movie like Transformers being right up their alley. Seems like Paramoutn is just taking the wrong approach in a way, claiming that their aim is to appeal to the "dedicated" HD movie watcher, AKA, the hardcore.

What I've noticed though, is that movie buffs HATED transformers, and casual movie goers loved it and raved about it. Seems like it would be a no-brainer to deliver this on Blu-ray, with several ...

It's still one of the best looking games I've ever seen, but I'm not seeing too much anticipation despite all of the coverage it gets. Oversaturation maybe? Who knows, but maybe I AM crazy, it just seems like not too many are concerned anymore.

Can't wait to get my hands on it. The lighting in that second pic is KILLER. What a gorgeous scene.

that they could potentially be between 5-7 billion int he hole right? Correct me if I'm wrong, just a ballpark figure, but I know R&D isn't free, and then coupled with the price drops, warranty, continuing fixes and hardware revisions, I don't think it sounds too far off. Who knows though, maybe they'll make some sort of breakthrough in the future.

It only makes sense that the HD movie minded consumer would support HD content since they have stand alone players. The problem with that logic is that they're ignoring the massive amounts of PS3s out there in comparison to standalone HD-DVD AND Blu-Ray players. If the dedicated were unable to outpace the casual in sales of the "300" HD movie, then a light should be going off in someones head.

Casual consumers is what drives markets like these, and even though it's st...

I have to admit that I'm in the same boat as whateva, and I had to look at the title again to get the joke!

This sounds pretty interesting, and it has the make of a downloadable title if you ask me.

With what we've already got and what's coming soon, the PSN downloadable titles are shaping up well. I predict a very robust lineup by this time next year, and the best thing about it is that they're all unconventional and fresh.

but if it's just until the end of next year, that's not TOO bad. Blu-Ray seems to have enough exclusive and multi-format support to be ok, but if another major studio jumps ship, things could take quite a turn then. Again, a hard hit, but this won't sink the ship.

It's as if an opinion isn't related in game reviews anymore. Not that another supposedly "professional opinion" should make or break a game for you anyway, but because a reviewer isn't paid by some big name publisher or webmaster, doesn't mean that their opinion is invalid.

We tend to forget that regardless of bad framerates, clipping, canned animations, loose controls and all of the usual bad criteria we see these days, that the most important thing is that we ENJOY ...

I would bury this as lame...

To each his own, but this list is neither thought provoking nor creative.

The one thing that always sticks out in my head is the video I saw of the dragon picking up a beast from the bridge and just tossing it. Captured my imagination. Even though I had the jist of the game beforehand, for some reason that simple action seemed to open up the flood gates for me.

It reminds me of GTA in a sense. 90% of the time I play GTA just to wreak havoc and see what ensues. That's entertainment. I look at Lair the same way.

I get to take a dragon into a 30 kilometer battlefield and do whatever the Hell I want to anyone and anything I want. I can totally see several youtube videos showcasing the creative things people will do in this game. Imagine grabbing another dragon by the face with YOUR dragon and smashing it into a group of soldiers on a brid...

Remember the fervor leading up to last Fall?

You couldn't go through the comments on the PS3 section without hearing how the whole world was on a particular side, or that the famed worlwide launch was so successful. Eating crow must not taste too good...haven't seen a simple admittance that things are changing yet.

all I have to say is that you are just pathetic. Doesn't make me angry though, make no mistake about it, I just have pity for you.

Interesting how this time last year the gloating was all about a certain machines wildly successful global launch, and fast forward to now, and the vast majority of countries from said launch suddenly DON'T MATTER. I find it comical how the extremism of some folks can just completely override any sense of humility, and these same people parade aroun...

was trash. I deleted that god-awful mess after one session. Entirely too mechanical and canned to call a sports game.

be to somehow jack into GT5 telecast style and actually watch a race from the theater or your apartment. That would be awesome.

In fact, every game should include a home spectator type mode, where you can watch from your apartment or rent the theater with a group for a gaming session. Basically time-attack mode against all of your buddies IN REAL TIME, and EVERYONE is watching. Great stuff, great stuff...hope they've thought of this.

Park any one of your cars in a virtual garage? That's awesome. Makes me wonder what other sort of doo-dads we'll get from games.

I want Kratos Athena Blades on my wall come GoW 3.

but I am sure that I want this game, and have wanted it since I first heard of it.

I was hoping for a Ratchet and Folklore demo though. Maybe we'll see those closer to release, and Lair for that matter.
