maybe distribute some papers at next years GDC, i don't know, but something has to be done.
Based on the games that have used them and the ones that will, it's apparent that the PS3 is a very capable machine.
The FFXIII one interests me the most, but all of them seem to be using them in some very creative and diverse ways. Didn't know it was such a versatile machine, because I honestly thought that although the SPEs were very powerful, they had something of a nar...
Remember how close Sev is when he's firing that automatic assault rifle, too. KZ is set in a fictional future, so it's also probably safe to assume that the weapons are more powerful than what we have today, although I can assure you an M-4 or M-16 would make you react in a similar fashion.
and by the progress they've made already, it seems like that was a response to the mediocre reception of KZ1 coupled with the monumental expectations from E3 '05.
I agree, seems that pressure is the best thing for GG, and it's to see a developer that can deliver under fire. A.I., textures, fire/smoke effects = SOLID GOLD. I think a year is plenty of time to tweak that stuff, especially with what they've already got. I always forget the multiplayer though.
I hope ...
but it's still great stuff nonetheless. I largely agree with the A.I. gripes though.
In all honesty, as much as I'm loving what I've seen from KZ so far, it would be a shame for a game with such depth and the high level of detail to not have smart A.I. Stupid soldiers just doesn't add up with the hi-poly models, cover system and crisp animations.
Then again, there's still plenty of time left, and I'm still expecting a Fall '08 release, so we should see some big c...
I've been looking for a future racer to fill the void left by F-Zero X(sorry, WipEout ANYTHING doesn't hold a candle...), and I was hoping this would do it upon hearing about it.
A few previews and a delay later, it pretty much dropped off my radar. I like what I read of the gameplay mechanics in this preview though, and hopefully I'll see a demo on the PSN sometime soon.
Movement with the motion sensing, evasive action with the left stick, and aiming with the right stick.
It's simple and intuitive, but you may need to tweak the sensitivity of the motion sensor.
Once that's at a comfortable level, you're ready to roll. I can't comment on the vehicles, because I was so wrapped up in the Warhawks that I didn't feel like using anything else. I do wish there were more aircraft than 2 though(might as well be one, they're essentially sp...
this DEMO will be. I've never been particularly adept at GT(or any driving sim for that matter), but I've always had a very healthy respect for them, so whenever I get my hands on them I strive to get better.
This will be no different. I see myself playing offline more than online, but it will be good practice for the final release I think.
it broke...constantly froze, was STAGGERINGLY slow, I couldn't believe something like it was permitted for sale to consumers. Hopefully they will improve with this deal.
than someone on the outside looking in. If the Wii, PS2 or XBox is someone's gateway, if you will, into gaming, then that's a very important thing to factor in. Think about said gamer sees what may be considered a hardcore game as something desirable, say Killzone 2, Zelda, Mass Effect, or whatever. Those three are all fantastic looking games on each company's latest offering, and could potentially appeal to casual gamers because of the top notch production values.
Casual gamin...
Many people will just use whatever review supports their slanted POV. Whether it's a fan review, big name site, small time site, or whatever, it doesn't matter, because to them it's ammo for the mudslinging. Sad really, we can't acknowledge that a game is decent without "confirmation" from just another opinion.
Game X won't have good graphics until site Y says so, and so on.
bubble for you Sheng long.
Try 22.4 there genius...must have gotten your information from Microsoft's infamous little 360 vs PS3 comparison, didn't you? Yeah...that's been known for two years to be BOGUS.
Anyway, believe what you want. All I have to say is, if both versions run identically with the PS3 version using only the PPE, then what will you say? More lies I imagine, but ok.
Don't you get it yet? Nobody has a problem with you being a fanboy, Bloodmask. If they did, this site would p...
These PSN demos are the best form of advertisement if you ask me. Nothin sells a product like word of mouth and hands on time, and this demo especially will provide just that. Expect GT5 hype to go through the roof during this demos run, because as feature-rich as it is, people will EAT IT UP trying all the different cars, competing for spots on the leaderboards and just having friendly competition.
This game(the full version anyway) I predict will be huge. By it's time of rele...
Bioshock really didn't get the advertisement and general exposure that it deserved...and that's too bad, because that game looks better than Lair in my opinion, and this is coming from a PS3 owner.
Lair has gotten a very generous amount of exposure, there's probably something in the neighborhood of 30-40 interviews floating around the internet.
Folklore, on the other hand, does surprise me come to think of it. That's in the same vein as Bioshock, with little expo...
saying nobody should trust any positive review(apparently they're ALL biased), yet these same characters assume that their word should be trusted when they say the game sucks. Don't you love hypocricy folks? All of you that have this attitude should just wipe the egg off your face and move on, because you look more foolish than any supposedly biased or paid off reviewer out there.
Have you played the game? Do you intend to? Did you EVER intend to? Probably not. I love how it's ...
for their console extremism crusades. It was so much easier when the only specs we got were color bits...
takes up 2GB, compare it to another game, so we can at least put to rest the whole Blu-Ray vs DVD scuffle.
IMO, I don't care what they're using or how much, if the game is shaping up the way it is now, then I support them with whatever techniques they may use. Amazing how one can complain about a game with this sort of production quality. Little gripes like Blu-Ray this, DVD that, just don't matter. Game looks spectacular, period.
Way too many pissing contests lately. Should just be all about the fun. Oh well, fanboys will brag about their system being the best, but in actuality they're the ones that miss out on all the great exclusives. Kudos.
Although it's not as flashy as most other games, the combat looks pretty good, a bit more subtle than what's commonly seen in adventure games. Platform and visuals both look top notch. I have to say though, a lot of it was pretty dark in the beginning, so I couldn't get what was going on for a while, but I think it was due to the video itself.
In any case this game is now on my radar.
Bob. That's been a running gag for AGES.
