flushed those problems so expediently. There so many great games that suffer from a terrible online experience(:ahem: NBA 2K, and it's a very sad thing that they'll often times never get a fix throughout the life of the title. Kudos to the developers.
I'm sure they have to have a tracker for that sort of thing, considering the only way to get it is through the PSN. I'd say 100K is pretty good though.
To be honest though, I also think the reviewers guide is a ridiculous idea as well...anyone with common sense should know to review a game for what it is and is trying to do. It does seem an act of desperation, but in any case it's too little, too late. Reviews are in, and I'd bet a dime to a dollar that we see nothing come to fruition from any "reviewer's guide" revelations.
they should have just bit the bullet and let the reviews stand. Bad criticism isn't the end o...
It's getting nothing but good buzz from the people playing it, and word travels fast. Friends with PS3s are likely to get it after smapling their buddy's game, and so on and so forth. It may be a hot seller this Christmas, along with all the rest of the multiplayer frag-fests on the horizon. UT3, Haze, CoD4, NBA, NHL, etc.
so to speak, for online games. It's got all the right ingredients so far, with 32 players, lag free, good balance, good servers, etc. It's sure to turn heads in the direction of other online greats like Resistance and Motorstorm. A few hiccups, but apparently the devs got on top of that stuff RIGHT AWAY. That's a very good sign of things to come, and hopefully Sony keeps a thumb on games with buggy/troublesome online play.
Bodes well for the future, that's for certain.
This is powered by UE3, right? Looking good.
First of all, I know that whenever I get a 360, the Elite is it. The only thing that's happening is that this generation is more likely to be a level playing field than we've seen in over a decade. Just because sales are at X because of variable Y doesn't mean anything, these people(and there are entirely too many of them) are NOT looking at the bigger picture.
which is why I see a Fall release. Doesn't need to be released anytime before, really. By Spring, I imagine many of us will still be enjoying the multiplayer of Haze, CoD4, UT3, and beating other games like Uncharted. MGS is around the corner that time too.
KZ2 will be the perfect compliment to FF13 next Christmas, and I also can't see them moving from alpha, to beta, testing, gold and shipment by February...just not gonna happen.
Love the Zerg though.
and although I wouldn't give it less than a 5, a 6 is about what I'd call it. Good game, lots of fun, but I can see it getting stale quickly. Great concept, it just doesn't have the refinement that it should.
Expect an announcement sometime next year "KZ2 projected to have a Fall '08 release"
Personally, I DO believe in the personal experience as more than a contrivance to slam reviewers. Also, I can't honestly say there's a single critic's opinion that I particularly trust. It's no conspiracy theory sort of thing, I've just found too many times that I simply have a different experience than they do.
Anyway, with that said, another reason I don't trust reviews is that the vast majority that I read either spend the entire time praising or slamming a game. That does n...
First of all, if you've got half a brain and are looking at the big picture, not just price of the unit itself...you'll see that the PS3 is poised for a pretty drastic momentum shift within the next year or so. Sink? Hardly.
Those of you shooting off at mouth about economics have apparently never heard of competition. When there's other people in your court, you do what you can. Hardly indicative of Sony being in some sort of trouble. This is laughable at best.

Explain to me, how are any of the people who have never, and have absolutely no intention of playing it, any better than them when all they do is bash a game from ZERO hands on experience? Saying a critic is wrong is flawed in itself, but gathering your own opinion from your OWN experience is good enough to have your own opinion. If you're saying(like so many others have...) that NOBODY should be allowed to like the game, how are you any better?
Fanatics that dismiss the review...
for a February '08 release(Why did IGN even post that?). I don't mind though. For some reason this is the type of game that seems worth the wait. If a long time and/or a delay results in a premium experience, they've got my support.
They seem to have a cool vision for KZ2, and I'm all for them realizing it.
but all I'm trying to say is that you can't compare a hardware failure to that of an interactive experience. Don't get me wrong, I think it's just as petty to sling mud at 360 fans for hardware problems(especially considering it's outside of their contorl), but there's no right and wrong with an opinion...a hardware failure will ALWAYS be a downer.
It is a BFD though, because should you really have to resort to that?
I think the game bashing trend is just as ridiculous as anyone else. Especially considering most of the folks that resort to this sort of behavior haven't even picked up a controller. That goes for both sides, at that.
The thing with the RRoD, is that it's safe to assume that NOBODY enjoys when their console goes down. Poll all 10 million owners with the simple question, would you enjoy your 360 breaking? See how many you get that will say yes.
A game is an exper...
The success of the Wii is evidence of that. Appel to the market and you're golden. Unfortunately, easier said than done.
I suppose you've missed the laundry list of dismal Lair reviews that have shown up, complete with hundreds of potshot comments to boot. Woe is me, I'm a Microsoft fan...please, spare us all. Why does it matter? Do you have a vested interest in either company? Does the news hurt your feelings?
to that of sheep. I guess I can't blame most of them, as the vast majority of the market is now consumed by casuals. I'd like to say that doesn't necessarily reflect upon the hardcore and enthusiast crowd, but the childish rantings of fanatics around the internet suggest otherwise.
The levelheaded gamer is an endangered species.
