4-500K 360 sales in September. Halo really is just that beastly. To be honest, even though I'm not as avid a fan as others, I'm tempted with Bioshock out now and Mass Effect on the horizon, but I'm still waiting for the little birdy named Falcon.
Just like how it takes a little more skill and patience to remove a stain with water and a toothbrush than it does with a cleaning agent and a scrub brush. Sorry, but I'm a firm believer in using the most optimal tool for the most optimal performance. I didn't stick with Cloud's Buster Sword in FF7 in case you were wondering.
I just don't see the whole "mice are for newbs" argument.
For aiming, whether it's a ball, optical, or laser mouse, a mouse is si...
Halo 2 LAN parties are a complete blast. Used to play all the time from last summer up until about spring this year. Halo is most definitely a very fun experience, but IMO, it's a far cry from a game like F.E.A.R. on PC. Still one of my all time favorite shooters. I'll admit, Halo has WAY BETTER multiplayer than F.E.A.R. did...the game just suffered from some terribly unacceptable balance issues(hearkened back to the Doom days of weapons), but as a game itself, blows Halo(and any console shoo...
Jaffe DIDN'T say F' Halo. Outspoken or not, this man is easily the most misquoted dev in recent times.
Read the entry.
I'm a die-hard console fan, and I'll be the first one to agree with you: PC shooters do it much better than consoles. This is coming from someone who's been playing console shooters for much longer than PC by the way. I played the Halos, the Goldeneyes, Turoks, Medals of Honor, and pretty much any other notable shooter you can think of for a console(not my favorite genre, but most friends are crazy for 'em), and I think none of them hold a candle to what's offered on the PC.

if this was implemented for a game that was at least DECENT. I don't even consider RR7 playable. Sad too, Rage Racer was one of my absolute favorite PS1 games.
The first thing I think of when I see "Believe" is NeoGAF. IT just leaves a sour taste in my mouth after that.
The whole hero must rise, yada yada yada business sounds like standard fare of most of Hollywood's faux-epic films that we see from time to time.
I can't wait to play the game myself...but the ads are almost...ALMOST as bad as Sony's cooky baby commercials...I honestly don't think I've seen a more disturbing video game ad than that...::shivers:...
and assume that Jaffe was the one who said it.
For those too lazy to bother reading it, Jaffe wasn't the one that said it, it was Adam. Jaffe even says that he likes Halo, it's just doesn't deserve the religious fervor-like attention and hype it gets.
EDIT: I see that post number 8 is our first...
That's just crazy. Never played the PGR series, but this looks absolutely stellar graphically.
All of us remember the early PS2 days and the proclamations of it basically being a sort of "home entertainment hub", especially before launch. Almost none of that stuff saw the light of day, and what did had next to no support.
Enter the PS3. Same promises, but this time, we've seen changes and gotten updates that were NEVER announced to begin with. Personally I think that's great, as there have been many good surprises at gaming conventions, the blog, and of course ...
Remember folks, many of the Resident Evil games could be beaten in under 2 HOURS, I loved the first three.
but hopefully it's here by Saturday. I've been wanting this for a while now. The demo was all too unsatisfying. >:(
No Best Buys in my area though >.<
ES sounds abit too cliche for me, TB on the other hand sounds a bit different, light-hearted and mysterious. Pretty inconsequential I know, but just a random thought I've had.
Been tired of Tony Hawk since the third installment....what a painful experience. Skate looks different enough, I might pick it up.
A warranty doesn't magically mean no more bricked systems, so I'll take this as the extra heatsink is working out. Still waiting for a Falcon myself, but hey, good news is good news.
Good for those who may buy the superior version, but I certainly don't think this is the superior basketball game. EA can have this one, not getting my money.
In a word, no. I can't feasibly justify considering what is called a professional opinion on a medium that's purely subjective and interactive. What sort of qualifications and credibility must one REALLY have for such a position? If we were talking about car repairs, sure. Health care, maybe.
When it comes to entertainment though, nobody can tell me what's good or bad...nobody.
I DO appreciate the information that a good reviewer will include in their reviews, bu...
Damn good point.
you've gotta figure that there's the cautious gamer out there that ARE waiting for Halo to drop because of the widely reported HW problems. I'm sure that many people figure if they get one by the time Halo drops, it's bound to be more efficient than a launch console. Whether that's true or not remains to be seen, but it sounds sensible anyway.
