Surprised it took a while for someone to make it a story.
And I'm not kidding.
EVERYONE I know here loves Karaoke...but hardly any of them arrange times to go do it. Having it in your own home is a convenience that's hard to shake a stick at. Japan blockbuster in the making.
in the price wars now. The 360 had great sales at this price point, and I don't see the PS3 doing any worse at this point in time. It'll only keep picking up steam now, and I'm sure that by next fall this model, which will probably become 60GB, and the highend, which will then most likely be 100-120GB, will be at least $350 and $450 respectively. Just in time for Killzone 2 to drop and kick the hype train into warp speed.
I just hope the results don't mirror those of Event Hori...
This is reminiscent of the Circuit City ads that came out a week or so before the official 60GB price drop.
It will be a good holiday season indeed.
the frequency. When you look at how devlopment time is only getting longer coupled with most of the best games taking sometimes between 24-36 months, it makes sense.
I don't care what kind of "facts" you present...a sum of opinions is by no means a fact. Why is it that ad populum arguments rule the roost around here? Does nobody like games anymore? Do you people that quote the numbers even play the games, or just use them as ammunition? Serious inquiry, because I'm starting to wonder why nobody plays games anymore and only like to shoot off at the mouth.
I've been entertained for the past couple days with the NBA 2K8 demo...yes a ...
but I hope the mobo was reworked to better accomodate the components. From what I understand, it's a tight fit in some places, and in others things shouldn't be where they are.
It's been by design, and I thought the Falcon was more than just a smaller fabrication process...let's hope I'm right.
....really. I've been waiting long and hard for this...hopefully it's either BS or a fluke.
I've only experienced slow down with NBA 2K7, but I attribute that more to the frame-rate...Resistance and Warhawk are butter.
Are you sure those numbers aren't b/c they came from a particular factory, or where did you hear it?
If true, does this also apply to the Elite?(I'm interested in this particular model. My 60 PS3 shows me that 20GB isn't nearly enough)
looked spectacular, especially the environments.
Bang for your buck is a very real consideration when comparing similar services or products.
In that respect, this doesn't appeal to the casual who may play an online game every month, bi-monthly, or with even longer.
Downplay it all you want, but it does matter. Just like how the price point of the 360 as an HD gaming machine is appealing when compared to the PS3, so is the free PSN in comparison to XBox Live.
but the RRoD issue is an inherent design flaw, so with that, there's a possibility that they could, which is why I've been hesitant to buy one up to now. If it were just some large scale manufacturing defect, that's another thing, because a revamp of manufacturing and a recall would fix that. A design flaw on the other hand, means reworking of the internal components...which is something that wouldn't get announced and could possibly affect other things.
It would ujst take some simple balancing is all. For one, if it became too cheesy, just make the option a perishable item with a long re-spawn time.
Second, include a parachute for a slow descent so the smaller pilot couldn't just have free reign on aircraft if they had a rocket launcher. For that matter, just assume that any weapon aside from rifles and pistols were destroyed with the abandoned aircraft.
It's not so bad if you give it a chance and wrap your hea...
There are some very integral balance changes and sig style has been expanded upon greatly by my experience with the demo, but as a total package(gameplay wise, anyway), I don't think it might be enough of a difference from 2K7. Overall, I think they need a new engine that remains faithful to the devs vision of the gameplay. Still stellar though, not sure.
All I want from a gameplay standpoint is tighter aiming, that's it. Otherwise, the game packs the fun in DROVES, the aiming, particularly on foot, pisses me off to no end.
For a sequel, I would of course like better graphics(expected), more vehicles, more AIRCRAFT other than Hawks and Nemesis, more weapons of course and maps. Basically more of what already makes the game good.
I love how huge and expansive the maps are, it doesn't feel claustrophobic in the least...
To me anyway, there's still nothing quite as engaging as a good RPG or adventure game ala Zelda or Dark Cloud.
Not to say that multiplayer games are any less as experiences, they're just good in their own way. Neither one can or should replace the other, and with that said, this is ridiculous to even allude to.
Predicted this months ago, although I honestly didn't expect the Falcon units to be released so ealry. I was expecting February, and not as silent a launch as this. A small announcement on a website at least, but nothing.
I also thought some gaming site with a keen eye would be able to somehow have us spot the difference, but I guess not. Oh well, in this case I might as well wait until February, and I hope they've been implemented in the Elites as well, b/c that's the SKU I'm ...
No worries, still occupied by the 2K8 demo, despite all of it's issues, it's still pretty fun.
