We've heard this from Konami, G4, and of course all the HW companies...when was the last time that something REALLY earth shattering was announced?
If you ask me, all the earth shattering announcements were the ones without precursors like this to generate hype. I'm expecting something weak as always. Resident Evil 5 for Wii or something.
It's really amazing what all devs have been achieving thus far, and this gen hasn't even hit the two year mark yet. What will games like this look like in 3 years?
Any moron with half their wits about them shouldn't care what anyone else thinks if they've already decided that they enjoy something. What reason do you really have to defend it? I loved the old Arc the Lad games. Does it bother me that not many others do? Nope.

Enough devs have stated that they enjoy working on the PS3, and that it's not a waste of time b/c there's so much more that can be done with it.
Newell may be one of our contemporary geniuses, but he can't speak for everyone. The progress that other development teams have shown make his statements moot for anyone else. It all depends on the developers.

By the time this hits it's almost sure to be more advanced than what Crytek has, and with the monstrous penetration UE3 has already, I wouldn't be surprised if people just didn't bother with Cryteks offering. IF I DID AGREE, then the only points I would agree with are the HW issues and disc space. If the Falcon models start burning up, a tornado of doomsday headlines will certainly follow. I've been waiting on Bioshock since I first saw a preview, and Mass Effect looks pretty good too.
I never took FP online last time around either, this would be pure un-adulterated CHAOS online! I absolutely LOVED CTF on FP, it was so much fun, even with bots! Before a friend of mine and I got into Halo 2 last summer, 2 years ago it was nothing but Timesplitter FP every day. CTF is by the far the most frantic in any FPS, and the level design was just ace.

but FAR too many people look for the score, latch onto it, and wave that flag everywhere they go. It's disgusting. I like reading reviews myself. READING them, scores mean jack to me, as most of them are arbitrary, especially when it's debatable that they don't exactly fit the descriptions in the review.
Personally I use descriptions, reviews, previews, videos, screenshots and interviews to figure out my purchase.

Personally I'd rather have the game, it's a done deal purchase for me, but then again, I'm sure there are those that feel otherwise.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry when I see a fanboy toting review scores as if they're a set in stone law. It's as if a so called pro reviewer(what a laughable title) has a special skill set qualifying them to either enjoy or dislike a game.
