Comparable in that both are videogames and both are disc based. I own Gears 2 and love it. It's a gorgeous game, but lets wait at least until KZ2 is released to make such bold statements.

I'm enjoying the action and mayhem, and it plays a whole lot like the first, not that that is a bad thing in any way.
But I really had to laugh at the engaging, emotiomal story comment, and wondering if I was in fact playing the same game. This story is as trite, cliched, and hackneyed as some feel WWII is in shooters, and dungeons, princesses, fairies, trolls and magic are in RPGs.

Was Dead Rising a console exclusive, or could it be purchased for any console? So while you're saying DR2 is not a lost exclusive because it never was going to be, the game may not be lost, but the franchise surely is.
So allow the save anywhere option, and those that don't feel it allows them to be 'Hardcore enough' just don't have to use it. Everyone pays the same amount for the game and should have equal accessibility. If it's achievements you're worried about, they could have them set up in a way to award a player for using autosaves only and not user-saves. I personally don't care if someone doesn't work as hard as I do for the same achievement. It's not what my self esteem and self worth valuation...

Maybe they should just adopt movie business strategies. Pay $15.00 to play the game for 90 minutes while 25 other people try to disturb you. Then pay $5.00 again to play it for 90 minutes through a DD service that allows your console to act as a terminal. Then finally charge you again if you decide to purchase it for your collection.

I have the PSEye and use it alot for video chat and it's fine. I also use it for in game chat on games like LBP, where chat is for fun, and not team communication/coordination. I have not yet attempted to capture an image for LBP, so I can't comment on that from personal experience. Really? Are you old enough to drive? Does your car have a CD or DVD player in it? Can you not move your car when a CD or DVD is playing?
It all comes down to another cost decision Microsoft made, using an inferior tray loading DVD reader, instead of the more expensive self loaders.
If nothing has made Microsoft shift away from their 'Ship Now, Patch Later' philosophy up to this point, I don't see this doing it either.
