'"Gears of war sucks. gears of war 1.5"...so obviously ps3 users dont want the game...or is it just some of that haterade?'
Of course it's the haterade (like that word btw). Same bullshit about MGS4, until rumors of it appearing on the 360 pop up, or the whole FFXII thing. Maybe people just lie to try to annoy the 'other side' forum posters, or just hate on anything they can't have.
Luckily for Sony, MS has already taken care of the advertising. It's...
'The 360 kids are busy playing games'
No, the kids are in school.
'the PS3 crowd has a ton of time to sit on N4G and circlejerk over how their system will one day have these awesome games released.'
I can see how upset you are over not being the pivot man. Well maybe next time.
Agreed Bathyj, I like the active reload mechanic as well.
'I know, in the future, I will wait for reviews before I buy any other GTA game instead of going on the hype'
Unfortunately, that may not help. The hype for this game went all the way from fanboy to reviewer, and judging by that, may not have changed your purchase decision.
Yeah, Madden had Madden cards before this gen. Microsoft's innovation was to take a system that had been applied to games individually and adapt it for console wide application.
LMAO
From all the talk of the PS3rd having no games to:
'but a lot of games have come out in the first 2 years of the PS3's life.' - GiantEnemyCrab
LBPs shark looks like it was ripped off from a pool float more than the contest submission.
'A controller is a "write-only" device if you will. It sends signals. It doesn't receive them. (with exception to the guide button on the 360 and controller port numbers)'
So how does the controller 'know' when to rumble if it's not receiving a signal? Controllers definitely receive signals from the software/console.
Now, whether that can be turned into a 'headshot mod' is another matter altogether.
Do you have pride in your nationality or heritage? If you do, does that make you a racist? There is a big difference between pride in your race and the hatred of others. I've never seen Bill cross that line. He's also been much maligned by the black community for speaking out against the sub-culture. I read him to be a man truly concerned for that community, as opposed to a headline whore. Whether you agree with his statements or not, I believe his heart to be in the right place. Commu...
Madness!!?? THIS...IS...SPARTA!!!
Exactly, and common sense tells you that developers come up with a lot of things in the course of making a game that don't wind up in the release version, so any number of these ideas may have been on the table for quite some time. Truly, there is no evidence, one way or the other, that MM stole, as you correctly put it, someone else's unoriginal idea.
Got the invite yesterday, and checked it out last night. A friend got in as well, so we hung out a little. It's cool and will only get better as more features are added, as it's pretty skeletonized at this time. It's fun in sort of an 'LBP - not playing a level, just screwing with your sackboy and slapping the piss out of other players laughing your ass off' kind of way at this time. It's also cool meeting and chatting with other players, overhearing other conversations through proximity ...
Lifendz, I don't see why they couldn't say 'Free access to...' and list their talking points, then finish up with 'unlike the competition.'
360 fanboys are no different. Look at all the trolling that takes place on both sides. Fanboys are fanboys. I do like your flies analogy. Flies are always looking for the largest pile of crap to land on.
That just isn't going to happen. Whether this is BS or not, I can see somebody being afraid of losing employment over leaking something like this. But like you, I take this (and most things) with a grain of salt that you find on the internet, unless it comes from a site that has a history of reporting correctly. If it is true, I just hope MS steps up and does the right thing if your console is only a couple days/weeks out of warranty.
My 360 RRoD'd about a month ago. The service rep pissed me off by saying 'I'm sorry, your console is out of warranty....But here's what Microsoft is going to do...' like we don't know the warranty has been extended to 3 years (my console was 23 months old at the time). And they no longer send you a box. They email you a pre-paid shipping label, and it's your responsibility to safely package your console. She told me they changed their policy to eliminate a 3-5 business day wait for the sh...
Time to seek out their local recruiter.
Dread, I also give props to Microsoft. They decided to alter the 'area of battle', if you will. They didn't try to out do Sony, Sony's way. They instead fought the battle on their own turf, e.g., XBL, etc.
My previous point is Sony now is unable to undo the year sales lead, hence the irrevelancy. I only disagree with your take on total sales, if you're considering sales prior to the availability of both platforms as it refers to the platforms themselves, but it certainly ha...
'one year head start.
(so what it does not change the fact that even today the monthly sales are comparable.)'
Yes, the year head start is irrevelant. However, if Sony has cut into Microsoft's lead at all, that means when choice is available, consumers are choosing Sony. If I'm a businessman, this is what I'm looking at, to determine why it is occuring, and attempt to correct it. I believe this is what Microsoft did that eventually led to the price drop.
Why would you assume that they would change platforms instead of going multi?
How exactly would this change your purchase? You would still buy it for the 360 and PS3 owners would buy it for their console.
It's just like the FFXII situation. You buy it for the console you own. As a PS3 owner, FFXIII going to the 360 means nothing to my game purchase for the PS3. As a 360 owner, Gears going to the PS3 would be meaningless as well.
