Ummm as far as I read it was posing a legitimate question using the present circumstances and asking what others think will happen and if it would work or happen.
It didn't seem to offer an opinion, except that it might be in their best interests, would be good for the fanboy wars to be over, and that competition is still preferred....
Did you read it?
I agree with you but I am reminded of a former Gold Coast Rugby League Team here in Oz called the Gold Coast Chargers. The admin of the club had a chance to merge with a team called the Hunter Mariners and the GC club refused to streamline their admin and ally with the Mariners (which would have got them extra cash from the League as well for merging, and the players they would have had would have been great).
Both died shortly after.

The same situation hasn't occurred every year though, and it keeps getting worse. They are both suffering and Nintendo (not part of the uniconsole you are talking about presumably)is killing them both, even without cutting prices.
I don't think it'll happen, but if they did, it would solve some problems for them and possibly make a pretty interesting game console-scape.
I'd hate to see either MS or Sony pull out of hardware.
I agree with you mate, but what if things get worse and either MS or Sony decide to do a Sega? That would be worse in my opinion:
Sony gaming has strengths and MS has strengths and I'd hate to be stuck with just the Wii....
I'm not saying they ever would, or should, but it could be quite the console to take on Nintendo and like the article says, end all this MS vs Sony fanboy rubbish...
(And it would be cheaper for me because I wouldn't have to buy both consol...
Good find. I'm really looking forward to this game. I'm sick of the same RPG environments.
Interesting discussion.
Matrix style tech is the next "evil of society"...
NO I doubt it, but I hope so. It isn't as good value here in Australia.
Thanks for the warning, but I like to see things for myself before I decide. I do know they needed to work on sharpening the graphics and the on-foot sections, but it still looks like it could be a fun and different game to the plethora of serious games out there.
I hope it's good, and I'm sooo glad it isn't an open-world car game in the USA for once.
I want another Max Payne game for this gen!!!
They are great fun for parents and kids to do together. Except my 5 year old gets impatient when I don't have the quick solution to one of the puzzles....
With so many games being serious and shooters, these games are good escapes.
You know they will for the second film...
At least let them try to make it something more than a cash in...
Yeah that didn't quite get me either: no vulnerability to crosses, no problems with holy water, no dying in sunlight, AND you can choose to not eat people, go really fast, have super strength, see the future, and have eternal life: pretty sweet gig, really.
At least Angel had to deal with his soul and make amends and if he ever had too much good lovin' he turned evil...
You could be right there, which would be a shame for story-driven games. You can mix the two successfully: not everything has to be Killzone 2 or Gears.
Heavy Rain and Alan Wake hopefully will do well despite being less 'quickly gratifying'.
I'm not overly into it myself...my wife took me to the movie...but it was okay actually. There do need to be more games that aren't just typical teen guy fodder and could appeal to women as well as men. The Final Fantasy's and Broken Sword-type games.
(Not saying all women game the same though...)

BTW Bella isn't a vampire....
There's always the vampire aspect to get it going but it would have to draw you in with the story as the books and film have done...maybe a mixture of Broken Sword and Buffy...? Adventure action games seem to be fading, but then games like Uncharted come along.
They would have to emphasise the action, but for it to be any good or attract more female gamers I would think the love story would be integrated and essential.
The next book goes to a different location and there is some new action potential with the "Wolf" Clan Native Americans...A game base solely on the first book would indeed be a stalking sim...
The article does show a few games that have done love stories that worked. Twilight would probably be a sh...
I could see that happening for sure....
Any game based on the books or movie would have to be story-driven, as is stated. Heavy Rain and Alan Wake look to be heading that way, which is good.
Yeah another title I thought may have died....I'm glad it's still coming.
I'd forgotten about this game and thought with the financial crisis it may have disappeared.
Glad to see it's still alive!
Well there is still the Wii, which is winning for some odd reason. Wii 2 would still be competition.
