I got the JB figure and it's huge and very detailed...It's 188mm.
I got Chris because the Executioner was out, but there is also Shiva...not bad for free!!! Has separate weapons etc.
Looks WAY better than that little puny thing.
I'm with you...though my mates rave about it, they are also fans of Smash Bros etc. and I'm just not into those games. I really didn't think it would translate well into this gen, but it seems it has.
My kids still love Smash Bros though..
I can't believe how many of my mates love this game. I really thought it wouldn't do the originals justice.
@ OZ
Actually I think there is a good argument for Killzone having co-op. It does actually seem to suit it and most other AAA shooters are trying to have it. I mean Fifty Cents Blood In The Sand even has it.
Map editor is really something that would have been cool.
On the plus side it is a good strategy game at least.
The author agrees:
"It’s made RTS exciting and accessible on a console like never before and has the distinct and authentic smell of the ever-deepening Halo universe."
Too right!
"We're Team America, F. yeah!"
Yawn.
That could have been my fault for editing content to give a better idea of the article rather than just cut and pasting the exact order of the paragraphs...sorry :(
@ Jhawk
In the story: "One of the first games that will follow this trend fully is Watchmen. "
The Watchman symbol doesn't change just because it is a DLC game and not a movie.
I think he is talking about both DLC being the future way to have exclusive content as well as the fact that the console makers are going more toward fully downloadable games.
As for the Watchmen, it is about fully DLC:
"It will be only available through purchase on XboxLIVE, Playstation Network and Games For Window via Valves’ Steam as DLC only. It will NOT be shipped via disc-based media on any platform."
@ Nuri....the Watchmen must not like the minimum wage retailers...It's the Watchmen's symbol I believe.
I really don't like this trend.
In Australia at the moment we really don't have the internet ability and pricing that you do in North America: it would be a nightmare to download a fully blu ray PS3 huge game. My limit wouldn't make it! The game would have to be heavily compressed or something.
Little arcade games and a few more levels is one thing, but a full game?
Also I agree that it makes little financial sense for 3rd party game-makers to make excl...
Concert on a navy boat....did they get any hung over stowaways that they promptly pressed into service? Maybe the bands?
"This is the part where I get all emo with Microsoft…"
Yeah MS is trying to be cool instead of sell their 360 games or something it sounds like.
Great read! Not swimming with the sharks was a good move I think...
Looks like Worms is still unchallenged! I can't believe the longevity of that game, though the 3D didn't work so well.
I think the last GTA I enjoyed was Vice City....I don't know why, but the whole '80s thing was a nostalgia trip for me. I hardly did any of the missions, just drove around swapping cars and radio stations.
Ah...Bomberman! I remember playing that all that time ago on N64. Sometimes the simple games in life give the most memories. Okay, I got more memories from Goldeneye and Perfect Dark on the N64, but Bomberman was still fun...
I wasn't that impressed with the demo...it felt like a standard (if attractive) shooter. But I'll have to give the full game a better play...and change the control configurations too...
I'll play this one day but it's not on my must play now list.
Fantastic review though. Well done navigating the minefield!!!
Yes....but the reference is to the time when they had children and the wife stopped enjoying playing the newer consoles BACK THEN (so the consoles WERE the next gen in the context of that time).
I do agree that current consoles are now "this gen" and that "next gen" hasn't come yet though :)
Yeah but is it standard or collector's?
