They know there is a demand and using it to get extra money.

It's wrong but I'm not sure what the laws are on this. You can still stick a lower bundle but you might not get it at launch. Is there a law on prioritisng the bundles first because that is what they will claim to be doing. Even though it's clearly to milk the gamers.

@joeorc

Never really thought of it like that but you are right. Didn't realise that there were 600 games within Home.

The pictures might be high res but they're blurry. Not the best.

An MS is the guy that drank to much and threw up everywhere? lol jk

To my understanding MS supported indies better than the PS3 with the 360. The problem is that MS offer a great platform for indies with the X1 but Sony were quick to get to them with the PS4 before MS. This is what Mike is referring to and we will probably see MS catch up on the indies front down the line.

It's great news for the indie scene

@Nexus

Companies measure their connection speed in Mb (megabits) not MB (megabytes). 8 bits make one byte so you would need a 8Mbps connection to download at 1MBps.

I have about 4/5 Mbps connection which is equal to less than 1MBps :(

Play as you download is a great feature and one that's nudging us into an all DD future. It will all be DD one day but we are a few years behind.

4514d ago 2 agree6 disagreeView comment

Depends on the connection I have a very average 4/5mbps and is take 20/30mins to download a 1GB.

I would also like to point out that's why we aren't ready for an all digital download gaming envioronment. With MS's old X1 policy, if you wanted to play your game around a friends house you would have to re-download it from your library to the local computer. Even if a game take 30mins to a hour to download, you just wouldn't bother.

Was that Guerillas fault? I think it was Sony that caused the confusion at the time, Jack Tretton told everybody is was in-game footage.

Either way, they acheived that target render and made one of the best looking games on PS3.

@SITH What do you think do the Steam controller? Why do you think they went for a symmetrical controller?

4515d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

@Alex, you're right, the triggers are exactly the same as the trigger used on the Move navigation controller and it's perfect. No more finger slip on games where you have to hold the triggger down for and extended amount of time (usually driving).

The analogs have also been updated too, so my two biggest gripes have been fixed. Hopefully the d pad is like the Vita's and then we will have one heck of a controller.

4515d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

People prefer the 360 controller because of the triggers not because where the sticks are. It makes no difference to me where the sticks are and can switch between the controllers with no fuss. But the triggers on the 360 pad is what made is a good controller.

BTW the word "symmetrical" isn't used as a buzz word.

Can't wait to see what these guys can do with the PS4!

PES always had the better face but they defo way off their usual standard this year. I will put it down to using the new Fox engine. Still it's not as bad as PES 6 when they made the leap to PS3.

I agree with most of their choices except the Joe Hart and Michael Carrick choices.

This sounds like a real good thing.

How much power can it use of X1 can the W8 codes use because the X1 is highly customised? So will it only be able to use the very basic part of the x1?

Not a tech head so just wondering what it would mean because they made it clear that the X1 isn't using off the self components.

@darth
I don't really see the revelance between the two. It's just an updated camera to work with Move, video chat and the new DS4. The Playstation Eye had a lot of problems with background cancelation and quality of stream in poor lighting. It's simply an update to the PS Eye.

Why do people think that Sony needs to undercut the X1 so badly. It doesn't need to undercut the X1 by $100 (maybe $50) in the US and it certainly doesnt in Europe and Japan (it...

Like I've said in previous comments, Sony never announced the camera was going to be part of the system. That camera cost less that $30 to make so even if they did have the camera they could still undercut the X1 by over $70.

There was nothing suggesting that Sony were going to include the camera other than people jumping the gun because they announced it at the same time to give their camera the best exposure as possible.

When the ps2, ps3 and ps4 were r...

Could this be to allocate all the manufactured consoles to EU and US because of extreme demand?

From a busuness point of view if they cant keep up with demand, those potential buyers could turn to the X1 instead so it would make sense to fill those countries with as many consoles as possible.
