We have to be honest and admit that cloud is the future. But because Sony hasn't talked about it doesn't mean that they aren't investing in it.

Gaikai is an integral part of PlayStation that will need a good cloud based system. Sony haven't invested into Gaikai to let it fall flat on its face. The Gaikai will launch next year first in the US so my guess is that they are still working on their cloud network needed to run it. When we hear more about Gaikai, we w...

@Andrew
If MS still play by their rules it could bite them in the arse. It's not treating developers with respect and a little bit snobby.

It's a case of the big guy pushing the little guy around just because they are bigger. Hopefully they change their tact.

I think GG need to clear this up. To me it sounds like the traffic is managed by the dedi. The stuff that isn't affected by connection speeds is ran locally. Isn't the traffic the most and main important thing to run through the dedi?

If it runs smoothly like KZ3 then what are people complaining about?

Does anybody know how the X1 dedis will handle multiplayer?

MS not done anything wrong. It will still record achievements but only the ones the developers sets. This is actually better and will capture unique moments instead of every unlock.

Albert is just clearing things up which is cool.

Not bullshots Chris. Bullshots are fake in-game images trying to be passed off as in-game images.

@Palaven. But are the articles I linked taking soemthing from another interview to make the X1 look better? Yes.

Those were the latest ones I found on the main N4G page and I'm sure theres a lot more. I'm simply saying it happens both ways. ATM there are more pro Sony articles but this is in trend with the media. MS seem to be on the backfoot at the moment coming off of a lot of bad press from all the DRM stuff. Also when MS say something they are always on the defen...

My point Nuke it that it happens both sides and not because it's Sony. I see to many people complain that N4G is ran by Sony fanboys. I also see people now sayin Neogaf is full of Sony fanboys.

I see no proper debates but a lot of wingers in article complain "if micro did this" "If Sony did that". Not many can have a debate which is sad. We just get people who force their opinions on others and most of the time it's twisted fanboy logic.

They wanted to make the PS4 developer friendly for all level of developer, including indie. Because of the cell the PS3 had bad ports and was a deterrent for smaller developers.

and supply and demand.

If demand outstrips the supply then price will go up. Retailers don't have to do cheap prices to compete with each other. Their stock will be taken no matter if they sell for higher.

If supply is bigger than demand, the retailers have to compete with each other and reduce prices to attract the customer.

Most business' operate like this!

@Nuke
You make it sound that developers having input on how the PS4 was fortunate for Sony.

Sony has made it clear that they actively made a console based on what developers wanted and used their input. The whole design was made with the developers in mind.

They didn't just stumble on developer input, they looked for it.

It's not as straight forward as using the exchange rate. 1000 yen will also stay at the same value within the country (except for inflation over the years). But the fickle exchange rate can drastically change from one day to another making values between currencies change a lot.

1000 yen right now equals about $10. In 2011 it was about $13 and about 2005 it was under $9.

To put that in perspective, over a 10 year period it went from 10k yen equaling from ...

I think what he was trying to say is that PS3 has a more muture audience, hense why mature games can do well. He would be right, the average age on playstation is a lot higher than the 360 (Read some survey a while ago).

360 had a lot of shooters and tapped into the pop culture which attracts the younger audience. It's the console that kids talk about on the playground.
