To be fair to Edge, MS original vision was horrid to the point that every man and his dog was against it.
The XBO is a different beast than it was a few months ago and for the better.
Thinking about it Sony haven't showed apps running or suspended but I'm pretty sure it will work the same as the Vita which I agree with septic is awesome.

So they reduced the console by $100 by removing a camera that retails for $60 and would cost sony half of that to make.
The artilce claims that they dropped the camera to cut the intended price of $499 but in reality the camera would only shave off a maximum of $30 (max of cost to produce, products retail for much higher than cost to make.) So the console should be sold for around $469.

It's not about being convinced but it doesn't stack up. It was never announced that they would add a camera and they can still undercut MS by a long way with the camera added.
Where does this stop. The PS4 demoed with a stand but that also is sold seperately. Sony have other peripherals that they've shown off, all sold seperately. Why would it be any different with the camera?

While I agree that not packaging it with the PS4 will see less use of it form developers, I don't believe that Sony excluded it to beat the XBO on price.
The camera cost $60 at retail so to manufacture that would cost a lot less. We'll just say $30 for arguments sake (probably lower). So that would put $30 onto the PS4 and still undercut the XBO by $70.

On PS4 you have a real profile like on facebook for your friends, while you use your PSN name and avatar for online. I like this idea. What do you guys think to having that in X1? Or do you prefer to always use you gamertag name?
Also I like the smart glass feature for tv (plus other features) instead of using kinect.
This isn't a big deal. Some of PS4 features will be missing at launch also. This same exact feature will be missing at launch on the PS4 plus Gaikai and external game recording.

The graphics look really nice. What I don't like is the giant DC signs dotted around the track. It would look so much better without them.
Yep and this is why Microsoft are investing in the cloud now. Cloud is the future and big buck to be made renting out your servers.

The PS4 UI looks a million time better than the old. The XMB was great but only worked for certain categories so it's great they still use the XMB but its hidden away at the top.
The X1 UI also looks great, not sure which will be better until I get my hands on both but MS are a software company so I'm expecting their UI to be better.
For looks the PS4 is better imo but the X1 will most probably run a a little smoother.
Other MGS' have been on Nintendo and Microsoft Systems. Twin Snakes on GC (basically MGS1), Metal Gear Solid 2 substance on Xbox (MGS 2: Sons on Liberty with VR missions), MGS3 on 3DS. I'm sure there's more.
Edit: I agree with you that MGS is a PS franchise. Always will be. PS fans have supported this franchise from the start.

Valve is a great company. I would be up for getting a Steam Box.
I would say it's the other way around. 1st wave of titles will come with problems but as the gen goes on, they can optimise and improve. With time they can perfect the use of their engines and will have better hardware knowledge.
