They downgraded the poly count to improve the game. To me it seems that they can't get as much as they thought from the X1 and expected to be able to do what they wanted visually at high poly count, 1080p and 60fps.
This doesn't exactly mean that the X1 has bad hardware but the over shot the mark a little and now the have to optimise what they have in order to make it look good.
I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of game had to do this on both con...
Don't underestimate Gaikai!
Not true. You can remote play using your PSP from anywhere in the world.
Once set up (link you psp to ps3), you can turn on you PS3 via remote play from any location with internet and then turn it back off using remote play.
You speak for yourself. Sony still has that in it lineup. But yeah KZ is looking awesome and even better online. KZ3 was an amazing online experience.
A game that parked with putting money in the parking meter obviously!
The game actually looks better though. You have to admit the cutscenes look really good.
What do you guys play? PSN - SWORDF1SH6
Just to back up what I was saying. Check out this link from the official trailer. You see tearing at its most in the wood section around the 30 second mark.
Pause it at any moment up until the 40 second mark and you will see tearing at the very bottom. Some section has no tearing so that bit could be from an old code.

@Maiden Raiders. Download the HD footage to your PS3 from the store and go throught it frame by frame. You will see tearing along the very bottom. You will not notice it easily otherwise.
No need for the snarky remark instead just ask me.
Edit: Anybody got the KZSF HD footage, check it out and post here your results.
The trouble is that this will be taken out of context.
The example he gave for it dipping is if 24 players threw a grenade and the console had to simulate 24 explosions.
What I did notice is a lot of screen tearing. You can't notice it to much because they are kept to the top and bottom lines. I wonder if they can get it v locked?
I watched the Eurogamer feed and the example he gave when it will dip below 60fps is if something happens like 24 players throw a grenade at the same time. To render 24 explosions would cause a dip in frame rate. So I take it that dipping below 60fps will be very rare.
The guy was trying to be too honest which can lead to headlines like this.
Disagrees for that comment!
Manufacturers are sitting on their ass' and hopping the PlayStation fairies make the consoles then. lol
I played a game on Gaikai (before Sony bought them) on a 3/4Mbps internet with sharp graphics and very very litlle lag. It's not the speed we should worry about but the stability. Streaming movies is different because it has a buffer. Games will need a constant stable stream.
You could be right. Why? Because it's the cheapest way for people to play and the cheapest (probably) way to get the games out there.
Might not mean the end of consoles though. MS, Nintendo and Sony will be able to make sub $50 consoles that only needs to be able to stream games (no high tech innards) that can hook up to your controller and tv. You can play high end PC quality games.
All we need now it better internet infrastructure because the lines wil...
lol I never get that. Just bring the game release forward a few months.
Hopefully better voice chat also
How does this compare to XBO. Tech reply not fanboy reply please!
@jhoward. I see your point. One thing I'll give them is that it's hard to judge what you can do and can't do with the given specs. If you have to get the game out witin a time frame then you can end up with a game that doesn't run smoothly.
Dead Rising 3 is on a time frame and the game will have to go gold in October, will it be enough time to iron out all the creases?
In that case yes. But you really wouldn't want remote play if you're sat at your PS3. It doesn't play games except PS1 games and is only good for access to your media files from remote places in which case your PS3 would be turned off.
