March 26, 2021. I cannot wait to play this!
@GameBoyColor
I see some salty people are still trying to push that crap idea that "Monster Hunter World isn't a mainline game." The developers have repeatedly said that Monster Hunter World is the next mainline game.

How does lying and treating potential customers like crap do anything other than hurt that company? Nobody should be making any excuses for this kind of behavior and customers should not tolerate it when business trying to get your money does it to you. Sony straight up lied about giving advance notice for preorders and when they would happen and I am not going to try and play catch up in a race that started before it was scheduled. There are plenty of other things for me to spend my time ...
Nice job screwing that up Sony. It was bad enough that nobody at Sony watched the prerecorded video yesterday and noticed big mistakes that had to be corrected later, but they also left out some news and instead let people know that on their blog. Now they cannot even handle the preorders properly.
@SegaGamer
"If that is the tutorial section like you say" Like you say, lol. There is no "if" - that is the tutorial section.
The thing is, there really isn't anything they could show to make people who have refused to play the game for the last 11 years - despite hearing how good it was and the genre it spawned - make them excited to play it now. People already know what the gameplay is and gamers have experienced. These trail...
It is irrelevant if you own the physical copy of a game. These are digital versions of the game that you can download to the PS5 as part of your PS+ subscription.
If you had ever played Demon Souls, you would of known where that section takes place. It is amusing to see fools claim that the tutorial section isn't ultra-hardcore enough for them.

Actually, I think most games got it right but few outside of exclusives had the critical and commercial success that The Witcher 3 did. The fact that it was always in conversations, ranging from story to side-quest quality to developer support, since it was released is what cemented it for me as a game that defined a generation.
Compare that with the bad practices of lootboxes and day 1 DLC were the conversations focused more on the recent c...
What did The Witcher 3 do to define this generation? It was the game held up by everybody as an example of how a developer/publisher should treat its customers. This generation has been dominated with lootboxes, day 1 DLC, and other shady practices and in almost every conversation The Witcher 3 is brought up as how things should be. That is how The Witcher 3 defined this generation.
Bloodborne? It cemented "Soulsborne" as a genre and while you may call them &q...
I'd have to go with:
The Witcher 3
Bloodborne
Destiny/Overwatch/PubG
These are not my 3 best games of a generation but rather the ones to me that really did define it. The Witcher 3 for obvious reasons. Bloodborne because it cemented the Dark Souls genre as a legitimate phenomena which was in doubt after the lackluster Dark Souls 2 and Lords of the Fallen (just last year we got Seikiro, The Surge 2, Remnant from the Ashes, and Code...

All joking aside, this is a nice commercial that reminds me of the classic PS9 commercial.
I'd like the TURN OFF select to not be hidden behind a menu. I have no interest in REST MODE so every single time I'm done with my PS4 I have to go through an extra step to turn it off. Sony could also fix it so that exiting REST MODE respects your decision to not have automatic game updates since right now every time I do start up from REST MODE I am bombarded with a bunch of games being updated.
I'd also not like to have the Dualshocks not needing firmware p...

"And did I blame him for anything, stalker? Go back and read my comment again."
Yes, you did with "And how is that a problem exactly? Please elaborate. There are literally hundred if not thousand of third party studios out there. There are approximately 15 MS first party studios (similar to Sony). So how exactly can a single publisher (MS in this case) output more game than every studios out there?"

I thought Darksiders Genesis was really good. I hope you enjoy it too.
@King_Noctis
He didn't say anything negative you annoying fanboy. There ARE "much more games releasing day one of Game pass then the First party games." Only you would get upset by someone pointing out a fact in response to your compulsive need to bring up games on the Switch and your apparent shock that it was on Game pass day 1. If you cannot accept people pointing out that it isn't just First Party games releasing Day 1 on Gamepass, you might want to...
@King_Noctis
"Wait a minute, I did not bring that up. The OP is the one that pointed this out."
My apologies for not being clear enough with my point. It seems I should of said "you are the one who brought up specific first party games" since you are the one who made a list of first party games and then included games not developed by Nintendo. I'm sorry for confusing you.
First party games have always referred...
@King_Noctis
"Paper Mario is Nintendo's in house franchise, and it was developed by Intelligent System, a company that had NEVER developed a game on any other system beside Nintendo. Tokyo Mirage Session is published by Nintendo, which mean they own the franchise entirely."
None of that makes it a first party game. You are the one that brought up first party games and then go an include games not developed by Nintendo but published by them ...
@King_Noctis
"Sony only have two first party games."
Everyone knows that you are just another annoying fanboy but sure, let's play this game:
-Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE and Paper Mario are not first party games
-Xenoblade DE is a Wii port and Clubhouse Games is just a collection of historic board games
-Sony first party games so far in 2020 are Dreams, MLB the Show 20, The Last of Us Part 2, and Ghost of ...
I think everyone, including vgchartz, is missing the point of this comparison. The PS4 has outsold everything else except the DS and the PS2 and that is why the PS4 sales are being compared with the DS - it is simply the next in line.
@Neonridr
The difference is that Microsoft announced this strategy in January and the world has changed quite a bit since then. There is an actual reason (covid-19) that made Sony make this decision. They are not trying to justify it with any other reasons and they certainly have been fully supporting the PS4 this year with game releases, something that Microsoft has not been doing with the XBox One.
As for whether or not being cross-gen holds back game...
