Why do you assume that "WHEN A SALE OCCURS are more likely to be discounted or discounted more for me?" This is dynamic pricing, which means the price is determined on all the data Sony has harvested on you. Sony could look at your past online purchases and gameplay habits and decide that a game in series that you have played in the past doesn't need to be discounted as much for you during a sale since you will buy it eventually. Compare that...

Good. Perhaps it will only take a decade from the launch of Diablo 4 for us to get Diablo 5.

Sony, Microsoft, and EA - what is the difference anymore?

Sony is just another soulless corporation chasing money. Record setting profits this generation yet Sony must keep closing good studios.

Headline should be "White man making agenda-based game complains about agendas in video games."

"However, Sony now seems to be revoking that digital ownership and reclassifying the game as subscription-only access. In other words, the license is now tied strictly to an active PS Plus membership rather than being treated as a permanent digital purchase."

So it now works exactly as it is supposed to work. All monthly games redeemed from PS Plus Essential are subscription-only access.

What doesn't happen on PS5?

A sale on PS+ for existing members.

So much BS comes out of Phil Spencer. All he ever does is look at past XBox games and make wild promises about them being the future. Phantom Dust, Perfect Dark, Crackdown - how did all those revivals go? Not that he is any better with new games he promotes such as Fable Legends, Scalebound, and Everwild.

So you are saying that gamers could use their attacks without getting hit even though the game lacked a dodge. So much for the idea that games without dodge were the results of game design without the thought of what many gamers want to experience in a game.

Gamers today like their i-frames. I get that. I just find it tedious when people get upset when they don't get them. Like the article says, "Not every encounter should be escapable through reflex alone.&quo...

Judging by the responses here, yes they are.

Dead Space didn't have a dodge mechanic and if that meant you were just standing around getting hit, that was a skill issue on your part.

When was the last time Sony actually put PS Plus Essential on sale? This isn't it since the offer is only for an undefined "eligible PS Plus subscribers." I suppose you cannot have record profits if you don't keep charging your customers full price for everything.

"*1 Monthly Active Users is an estimated total number of unique accounts that played games or used services on the PlayStation Network during the last month of the quarter and is based on company research and

When Sony makes it clear that none of those PC gamers playing Sony published games that require or did require a PlayStation Network account to play are counted in the only metric they talk about when it comes to growth...

I guess that is one way to spin a hardware manufacture saying "moving away from a hardware-centric business to more to the community-based engagement business." Sure, it doesn't mean Sony published games will be multi-platform - but the response highlights how great they feel their investment in Bandai Namco - which makes multi-platform games - has been to the stability of the company.

That group was certainly vocal with Abby in The Last of Us Part 2. We couldn't go a day without a new article whining about her looks.

Could be a 3DS though. 3DS outsold DS by 2:1 in its first year in the United States yet lifetime sales ended up being less than half.

It is not every day that I get to read an article pointing to a videogame that is releasing on PC, PlayStation, and XBox and another game published by Bandai Namco as proof of Sony's return to "quirky games."

Sony does need to return to their roots but since they've closed most of their studios that took those risks it will not be easy. It would also be nice to return to those times where we go more than 1 new first-party exclusive a year. It is hard to ...

"Someone has yet to explain to me why Sony wouldn't market a game that went on to sell 25 million copies as a console exclusive."

Probably because Sony is trying to create the narrative that their competition can only buy exclusives while they themselves have created such a great console that developers want to make exclusive games for it. They also benefit from console gamers thinking for a whole year that their only option to play it is on PS5 so their is n...

Which website said DOOM The Dark Ages was "too masculine"?

The only thing I could find was when a bunch of snowflakes lost their minds over Rolling Stone calling the art designs uninspired and somehow made the conclusion that RS hated men.

I just like that someone thinks that Destruction AllStars, Harry Potter: Quiddich Champions, Meet Your Maker, Death Note: Killer Within have a 75+ Metascore.

Or that Deep Rock Galactic was a Day One release on PS+.
