Dreams, Nioh 2, MLB The Show 20, Final Fantasy VII Remake, The Last of Us Part II, Ghost of Tsushima.
That is what Sony is doing to kick off the next generation. That is definitely not "without doing anything at all." No amount of marketing can cover up the fact that in 2020 there are almost no compelling exclusives to play on XBox, just like it has been for several years. Just like it was in 2013 leading up to the start of this generation.
It says right in the blurb that it is a PSVR bundle. Do you also get confused when there is a PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Switch bundle about whether they come with a PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Switch?
Well of course the Vita "was a great machine and it was just underrated and was full of gems." That's just common knowledge. /s
Seriously though, you'd be hard pressed to find a Sony fan to argue that the Vita wasn't a failure while Nintendo fans almost universally defend the WiiU. Both were failures that ended up leading to radical shifts for the companies. The difference between them is their hardware. While people give multiple reasons why the V...
Don't sell yourself short Neonridr. You are worth the 60 seconds I take to read your post and then reply to it. Besides, after a stressful day the laugh I get from seeing you state that Nintendo of America is the deciding body in Nintendo and that NOA is in charge of R&D of new consoles makes it worthwhile. You are part of a select group that thinks that everything with the WiiU was perfect and that the Switch released when it did was perfectly natural. The lengths a fanboy goes t...
@ Neonridr
That is the funniest thing I have seen in awhile. Not only are you throwing out the fact that Japan in Nintendo's home market that decides the course of the company, but you think that R&D times should be measured not by first release dates but by later times. I understand that you are a fanboy but it is really pathetic to see you still trying to push this "5 year hardware schedule" in an article about Nintendo themselves saying the Switch wil...
OMG! Who would of guessed that the fanboy who tried to bring this up last time would try to do it again. /s
I'll just repost what I wrote before.
"Where did you get that ridiculous idea? The NES was on the market for 7 years before the SNES came out. The N64 came out 6 years after the SNES. The WiiU came out 6 years after the Wii and the Switch came out 4 years after the WiiU. The only times that Nintendo released a console after 5 years was wit...
It seems like just yesterday that all the fanboys were saying that Nintendo didn't abandon the Wii U early because Nintendo's standard lifespan of a device was 5 years (which it was even 9 months short of reaching). Some even said that a 7-year lifespan , like with the PS3, was a sign of desperation because the company lost so much money that they had to keep a generation going. Somehow I doubt they will be making the same claims with the 7-year lifespan of the Switch.
Looks like someone hasn't played Death Stranding.
The beginning of A Link to the Past with the rain is one of my biggest and favorite memories in gaming as well. The immersive sound effects of the rain and Link walking through puddles was something unthinkable before with the Atari and NES.
Doma, Doma, Doma Doma Doma! Ahahaha!
You probably shouldn't be playing Assassin's Creed games if you think the historical inaccuracies of the series begins with homosexual Viking relationships. AC3 alone would make a history teacher's head explode.
"Fuck off. Not confused at all."
and then goes on to repeat exactly everything that I pointed out as the actual problem. You just typed 100+ word response and not once used the word "trophy" when talking about your problem and the solution to it. "You cannot load your save in NA if you do not have the DLC installed if you played the game with the DLC first" is just a reworded version of what I wrote. Did you even bother to read what I poste...
I think that you are confused because none of what you wrote makes any sense. Perhaps you meant to say that you were playing a game's DLC and then when you went back you couldn't play just the base game with the same save file without having the DLC installed. That happens and that has to do with the save file version and has nothing to do with trophy data.
I'm sure in time I will get used to it, but at first impression I do not like the DualSense controller. No mention of back buttons and it still has the mostly irrelevant but battery draining touchscreen and light bar. They did away with the iconic Dualshock handle design (flat circular part around the buttons and d-pad with handles sloping away from it) and instead has a cheap-looking continuous mold design like a pdp controller. I hope that the white parts are the way they are because...
I don't have a problem with XBox controllers using AA batteries. I do have a problem with XBox controllers costing the same or more than controllers that come with a rechargeable battery. Microsoft sells the Play and Charge Kit for $25 so the controller should be $25 less than competitors that have that feature standard in their controllers.
Also, for all those fanboys out there saying how AA batteries are the superior option, just remember that the Xbox Elite Controll...
@ ZeekQuattro
Unsurprisingly, none of what you said disproves anything. "TTL was dying" - no, they were in full swing when amiibo followed Skylanders and Disney Infinity into the market and Lego Dimensions were released the following year. Claiming that the amiibo supply shortage was because Nintendo underestimated the demand doesn't work because the supply problem went on for years. Same thing with the SNES classic - after the huge success of the NES class...
Nintendo does practice artificial scarcity but this isn't one of those times. Amiibos and the SNES classic are both recent examples and Nintendo actually openly talked about the policy during the NES and SNES days. While artificial scarcity is more commonly practiced in Japan, 2 good examples of it in the United States are McDonald's McRib and the Disney Vault.
You never see Mario's neck, but here it makes him look like a character from Wreck-It-Ralph.
I think people who don't think Nintendo is anti-consumer are deliberately ignoring the facts. Nintendo terminated the Wii's online service the same month that Mario Kart 8 came out in an effort to boost the struggling WiiU sales (Mario Kart Wii was one of the Wii's most played online games). At the start of last year, Nintendo shut down the Wii Shop which means consumers can no longer re-download or update any of the games they purchased for the Wii. This is how Nintendo treats...
@ Tross
Did you really just say that the Japanese see Mario as Japanese? Samus Aran and Link are Asian with their blond hair and blue eyes? Sega's Altered Beast, Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage did not star a bunch of white guys with blond hair? Konami's biggest franchises - Contra, Castlevania, Silent Hill, and Metal Gear Solid - had Japanese main characters?
Whether you want to acknowledge it or not, the 80's and 90's were filled with...
It's dinosaur robots, not robotic dinosaurs. Dinosaur is the adjective that describes some of the robots in HZD. The designs were taken from dinosaurs, they were not trying to be dinosaurs. There are plenty of other robots that are not based on dinosaurs in the game. If you want robotic dinosaurs, you can already find them today in several museums.
