I'd agree provided it doesn't affect the main campaign. Similar to Starfield's 1000 planets, we're good with that now too right? Provided they have a beefy main campaign bigger than previous, and the no mans sky portion of the game is completely optional?
You guys have such blind faith that this game will be a terrible mess.
Yup, a lot of people are "going off Cod" now as well since it'll be owned by xbox. And in a couple years Elder Scrolls will no longer be a good franchise. Imagine hating a game because of the console it's on. I'll openly admit TLOU was one of my favorite campaigns of all time, phenomenal. It's hard to find open minded gamers these days who will do more than speak to their own favorite system.
Don't get too worked up N4G is a PS user heavy site, anything xbox here gets roasted pretty good. Although i'd be pretty upset if i couldn't play Starfield, game is gonna be amazing like every other hand crafted bethesda single player campaign, with the addition of ship building exploring and space combat. Just writing that it's hard to believe what the complaints are even about, other than wah i can't play this game so it sucks.
The game was hated for...
More needs to be seen on these so called 1000 planets.
How many can you land on?
How many are empty?
How many have procedurally generated life on them?
How many are used solely for mining resources?
How many have handcrafted points of interest on them?
How many are used for the main campaign?
How many are used for sidequests?
I don't know how you can have a proper debate on this when we don't know how Starfield is...
Would be surprised if the campaign has us going to more than say 20 planets. Feels like the space exploration of procedurally generated planets is something you can avoid if you want, much like settlement building in fallout 4. Starfield campaign sounds like their other single player campaigns, but a touch bigger.
Stanjara it was a genuine question see my comment above. What is a good number of handcrafted content planets you are looking for? And then how do you know we aren’t getting that? We simply don’t have a clue how many of those 1000 planets are empty or full. Wasn’t fanboying at all I was asking where this chat is getting their info from because there’s quite a bit of jumping to conclusions going on.
I personally feel it was stupid to say “1000 planets”. But I’ll wait to s...
And? 600 planets isn’t enough? I’m confused what is desired here? 20 planets? 2000 planets? Or do you just want clarification on how many planets will have handcrafted content? Is 15 planets with handcrafted content okay? Who said otherwise?
Did I miss the part where Todd Howard said “1000 handcrafted planets full of things to do?”
I’d imagine the main quest is 10-15 planets. With at least the same level of handcrafted content as previous Bethesda games.
Where is this entire chat getting their info from? I’m assuming the majority of these “1000 planets” are empty, used for mining.
Heard of Destiny? You point and click a planet and you get a flying cutscene lol.
Does no mans sky have more handcrafted areas than any previous Bethesda game, and 200,000 lines of dialogue? Starfield does. You're comparing apples to oranges.
Cool, say it however you want, all the games in this article are not on PlayStation. And the majority of PS5 users will not play these games. You’re on N4G the biggest console war site of all time lol
God of War is on PC, should we remove if from the list of best Playstation exclusives?
Yes anytime xbox exclusive is mentioned they mean console exclusive.
All Bethesda games will be console exclusive, except existing agreements they already had in place such as Deathloop
FO3/NV remastered would be amazing
Starfield, Avowed, Wolfenstein3, Fable, Quake reboot, and all the old CODs to hit gamepass with full lobbies via BC (once activision acquisition is complete)
Might wanna hold that thought until this Sunday...
2023 is going to be stacked for Xbox. 2022 not so much lol
Finally seeing some Starfield gameplay? First new IP in 25 years from ElderScrolls and Fallout, games which tens of millions of people still enjoy? What is PS5 bringing out? God of War 8 DLC? ground-breaking.
Gamers snatching up a Series X for Redfall, Diablo IV, High on Life, Scorn, Ark II, Pentiment, Minecraft Legends, Replaced, Grounded, Wo Long (producers of bloodborne and nioh), and Starfield. And that's just in the next 12 months
