Giving paid weapons (that you can't unlock with regular playing) a faster TTK, I can't see that happening there would be an uproar
Because call of duty is better than their competition in a lot of areas. Some say they don't innovate, and then some get upset when they change anything, they can't win.
This year i see a new Tarkov inspired mode, a new take on Warzone with Warzone2, a prisoner rescue mode, tweaked Gunfight mode, and a new set of maps. That's quite a bit.
I don't see Fifa coming out with 10 brand new soccer fields and new rules to their game so not sure ...

Or you could... buy the game for cheap when it leaves game pass? As you're only paying less than 2 full price games per year to subscribe, there's lots of extra money floating around to do that if you wish
You can play the multiplayer portion of those games right now via backward compat. It would be totally in Microsofts hands to throw some money at servers for specific games if they wanted to offer those games via game pass. There would be a lot that would check it out for nostalgia alone.
I don't understand why xbox would get rights to the most popular multiplayer games in history and then sit on them and do nothing.
Don't think this would happen in time for 2022, but it would be interesting to see the Activision deal close and get all the old CODs onto gamepass. Full lobbies of the best call of duty games via backwards compat would be fun
Xbox is gonna eat it for one more holiday season. Their 2023 looks packed though.
I would hope with WZ2 it's a brand new map, or multiple brand new maps. All that money they can crank out more than 1 map per year.

I think this method hurts microsoft not the devs. Also i'm WAY too lazy to do this.
@AmUnRa - the devs made the choice to get paid by microsoft for their game to go on their service, rather than do things the old way of selling individual units. Nobody forced them to do this. Are you saying you know better than the devs what is best for them? Devs choose to be on gamepass or not.
Does this still work today though? Only for new subscribers? Because i'd love to get another 3 years free games for super cheap, mine ran out this spring i've been subbing monthly

@Crow if PS now released all 1st party games plus a bunch of other games (plague tale, atomic heart, back 4 blood, to name a few) on launch day, and they gave a loophole to get it for quite cheap, then yes it would be very big news with lots of articles
