Agreed. Can’t do the follow story, hit button prompts to climb things, shoot brain-dead bots, watch cutscene, repeat. But a lot love it so it will never change much
Ya this article doesn't appear to be comparing apples to apples. Also @ ABizzle1 Halo Infinite this year and Starfield next year are no slouches for AAA games, much better start than last gen IMO
When you say still playing, does this mean you just started recently, or do you replay the campaign? Serious question as I don't replay linear story campaigns, and i'm curious if this is what others do.
Best. Games. Period. ... unless you like MP shooters, or Bethesda games. But nobody likes those.
@Angelic. YUP. Welcome to N4G. Full of 1-console gamers that have no interest in shooters, multiplats, and no longer care about Starfield. They literally just play their Playstation exclusives and nothing else LOL. It's actually laughable, i just spit out my drink thinking about playing on 1 platform for your whole life and burying your head in the sand
Same. It’s a powerful machine for multiplats, shooter exclusives, and guaranteed Bethesda. I’ve had enough story driven single player with RPG-lite elements on my PS4 Pro, I turn it on once a year for exclusives. Will PS ever make a good shooter exclusive? Probably not.
Gunstar, there are 2 multiplats already out in the live, and they are both better on SX. It’s an uphill battle mentioning anything positive-Xbox on this site. The above comments mention Elder Scrolls which is not coming for many years, when Starfield will be out next year. STARFIELD – the game that is so good Playstation tried to outright buy it for themselves, but now it will be a buggy mess that no playstation fan is interested in ha ha. There’s a lot of 1-console commenters on this si...
Agreed. They took the power route with the One X and I’ve really enjoyed that console. I’m a Bethesda fan and a MP Shooter fan, I can’t remember a good PS4 shooter, and I’m not gonna roll the dice with Starfield next year, or with Elder Scrolls and Fallout after that. I played enough story driven campaigns on my PS4 Pro, not gonna miss those. Bloodborne 2 would be a game that may get me a PS5 down the road.
@bouzebball
I won’t be buying at launch for that reason. I’ll get the SX next year to power Halo, Starfield, and Battlefield, all due out in 2021
Agreed, i don't see the big deal. And i'm on xbox.
You were talking about xbox setting the controller bar low, that's laughable considering playstations weak controllers of the past. Xbox has always had great controllers. Idiot.
Yes. Like the speaker in the ps4 controller everyone was raving about. And the controllers glowing red and blue. And a little touchpad you could draw on to solve in-game puzzles ha ha ha.. How did i ever live without these major gameplay advancements?!!
I guess you gotta hype something when there's very little to hype at this launch.
Low bar? LOL. PS4 controller still has plastic triggers that feel like a kids toy. Playstation finally playing catch-up on the controller game.
Did you just make an overall choice of generation before the generation started? Lol, thanks! My choice will be different though. I'll go with SX first for Halo, and i don't want to chance it on Starfield, Elder Scrolls, and Fallout, which will be 3 of my fav games this gen. That Bethesda acquisition made this tough choice an easy one, for me.
"Gaming is bigger than any one device", exactly - Xbox and PC lol
Microsoft doesn't care whether you play your games on Xbox or PC, as long as you get gamepass to play xbox, EA, and bethesda games, among others
Outer Worlds comes to mind, I would have purchased on launch day. Gears Tactics I would buy which is coming up. 2021 I would buy the new Halo and the next Battlefield game at launch. Starfield might be 2021-22.
It would be maybe 3 games per year for me, of day 1 purchases that i get. But the value add is trying all the other games, like i've been waiting for Doom Eternal to go on a nice sale - i get to play it this Thursday at no extra cost.
The ot...
Sony was rumored to be trying to get Starfield exclusive a few months ago. Xbox came over the top and bought the whole parent company. You think they spent 7.5 billion to share profits with Sony? The only thing they want is to get people on gamepass and rake in the money. Getting some AAA system selling exclusives to go along with same old Halo/Gears, that's a good bonus too. I wouldn't be surprised if all Bethesda games were now Xbox/PC exclusive
Halo and Gears were not system sellers like they used to be. Halo, Gears, Elderscrolls, Starfield, Doom, and Fallout - now that sounds more like a system selling lineup
