Sunny name a good multiplayer shooter that’s exclusive to PlayStation

I fully agree. Xbox had a terrible gen for exclusives. But even with how bad it was, Playstation did not beat them *In Multiplayer*. (Crushed them in singleplayer). So isn't that shame on Sony for not putting a small amount of their prowess to make a good MP shooter?

All Xbox had to do this gen was get Pubg first, turned out to be a year in advance while the hype was still there, and then I got to play some Halo MP and Gears Horde for free on gamepass. On the Sony ...

I don't follow, why do you think the Series X is going to be dead at launch? A system of good horse-power with sequel exclusives - isn't this exactly what the One X is? And the One X is doing well?

Isn't Sony doing the same thing? How many 3rd person adventure games with average shooting and stealth elements can one person play? If SONY were smart they would bring an amazing multiplayer shooter to market - Now you're gonna steal away some xbox marketshar...

The One X has been a great console, i'll grab the Series X first for multiplats, unless Sony has a fantastic multiplayer shooter in the pipe that i don't know about. SP campaigns are a little predictable these days

Same here. Xbox always has some good multiplayer shooter exclusives, and then after a few years there's a nice backlog of single player playstation exclusives to dive into.

Fully agreed, i couldn't finish horizon or RDR2, I didn't have 50-100 hours to put in the work. I wish there was an option to 'see all remaining cutscenes' and complete the boss fights, for when you're 1/2 through the game, and you've done everything is has to offer, but you just want to finish off the story

I hope exclusives push the boundaries of gaming, but i'll have to say i'm skeptical when the current gen was all about resolution, sequels, remakes. When is the last time we actually got some new gameplay ideas out of new hardware? I want to see better AI in games. More NPCs. Is any of this going to happen next gen? Or will it be 4k, 60-120fps talk. Better lighting, textures, etc. Will gameplay take a back seat? It's funny that PUBG popularized a whole new genre this genera...

I'm siding with caddytrek on this one, and i'm an xbox-first guy. Having games available on PC and cross-gen absolutely devalues the Series X, and pretending it's no different than other consoles is silly. If PS5 comes out of the gates with some killer multiplayer games / shooters (they probably won't), then i'd likely go with PS5 first, and play xbox exclusives on my One X.

Wow i thought it was coming to Xbox tomorrow, as some places list Platforms: PC, Xbox. Ouch. How is this not on xbox tomorrow? Gears is an xbox staple.

Holy fanboys in the disagree votes - this is basic facts. You're suggesting it takes quite a lot of effort to develop for both systems vs the benefit of the extra sales, which just isn't true. If this was true then why would every multiplat game not just start with ONE of the two to develop on? Change my mind with a logical response please.

PS5 and XSX are similar to develop for. If a company is limiting themselves to 1 of the 2, then they are being paid for it.

Because when the game dies after 2 months as all CoD BRs do there won't be enough PC players to have a match lol

From what I’ve seen so far the gameplay seems to be a lot of teamwork, holding tight angles, using abilities at the right time, and of course accurate shooting. I think controllers should be fine with obvious adjustments like less recoil.

@Purp Ya i mostly didn't like the analog sticks. @Wood if you're talking about "controller dominance" you'd have to include that gen in the conversation, maybe even a starting point for some people in their preference of one over the other - they were very different feeling controllers

The PS3 controller was garbage compared to the 360 controller, if you try to defend that you're a major fanboy

@russo I bought an xbox in 2013 and haven’t waited on anything. Titanfall 1, Gears, Halo, plus PUBG 1 year ahead while still hyped. On the controller and UI I prefer. If you love shooters it’s not a bad console. Game Pass was offered up to 36 months for 1 dollar, it’s the best deal I’ve ever cashed in on in gaming history. All possible thanks to the Kinect almost sinking the whole company lol. Worst reveal ever.

Lol continuously dodging the conversation with sarcasm/jokes. Doesn’t bother me as I play all the PS exclusives. But it’d be a good way for PlayStation to grab some market share from Xbox. Anyways enjoy your one platform and being closed minded to new options

So your natural position of your left thumb is bent out to the dualshock thumbstick? If so please seek help immediately. Have you never used a Wii controller? N64? NES? Sega genesis? Dreamcast? 360? That's the prime position for controls. On the right side the buttons win out, fair enough. The left side i have no clue why DPAD is taking up prime real estate over thumbstick, makes no sense. But I can tell by your responses you're a Playstation-Only person

Hey it's the natural resting position of the human hand. Not sure why Sony hasn't just admitted this already and moved on.
