Yet another recycled game rather than a next gen game...
Tell me why I bought all the next gen consoles?
So I can play the same games (good in this case) all over again...
I think not...
Although I agree with the disappointment, this is how this generation has started with the three consoles. Wii U, X1, and PS4 all probably shipped a year too early.
I think MS has done the best job of improving their launch, Sony 2nd best, and Nintendo third best.
MS and Sony seem to be listening to their communities really good. As long as they keep improving their consoles I am fine with it.
I still can't wait for this game. I loved Last of Us!
Yep, I don't want to see Uncharted 4, The Order, Quantum Break, Halo 5, Gears, God of War, Last of Us 2, or any other game that is scheduled for 2015.
E3 2014 should be about games coming in 2014. Otherwise they should rename it E3 2015.
I don't want to see anything past 2014.
Everything past 2014 is vaporware.
Forza 5 is an amazing game. I've spent over 100 hrs with it...
1) The game mechanics are amazing
2) The graphics are second to no racer released to date
3) Drivatars are a god send to track simulations like Forza 5 is
4) I did not pay a cent more than buying the game yet I have 75+ cars and got two free additional tracks
You can whine like a good little fanboy, but there are no facts to support your baseless comments.
There are many screen shots there.
But according to most N4G comments the cloud is a bunch of BS...
That wouldn't be a great announcement then...
Would it?
Yep, I absolutely agree...
PS4 and all those Indie ports from the PC was BS...
Porting last gen games like Fl0w, Flower, Halo Spartan Assault, Last of Us, Tomb Raider, and Rayman Legends is BS...
And releasing games like Titanfall, CoD, BF, Destiny, Dragon's Age, Forza Horizon, etc. on both next gen and last gen consoles is BS.
Sony releases MLB 14 on PS3 and PS4... No one peeps a bit... And spends their time porting Fl0w, Last of Us, and Flower to PS4 and life is still great. And gets a bunch of re-released indie games from PC land and "everything is awesome". Which company is really holding back this generation?
MS releases Forza Horizon 2 on 360 and X1... The sky is falling... PS: They also announced that the game is being handled by two different studios for 360 and X1. So, thi...
Yet people also so that MS is "abandoning" 360 support...
Damned if they do, damned if they don't...
Yes, there are lower and higher level APIs. But there devts do and will go straight to the hardware sometimes. The lower level APIs are often just common ways to go straight to the hardware without bricking it. Although they are APIs, they are the bare minimum contols to use the hardware properly. To me, there is no difference in them then going straight to the hardware and that is what I mean. they are APIs for control rather then to abstract the hardware or make a complex task simple. ...
I stick with my Sony PlayStation monitor...
Nice speakers, 3D capabilities, and multiple HDMI input ports for the 7 consoles I hook up to it using a two HDMI splitters...
Although I have my gripes with Sony, this monitor is great for a desk and gaming. n fact I have 3 of them so if one dies I will have backups!
for me X1 has been treat and every time I boot my 360 I am reminded how much better it is... The improvements include:
1) Faster downloads. I started downloading Watch Dogs on both 360 (7GB) and X1 (40GB)at the same time and the X1 was done (100%) before 360 hit 50%.
2) The controller has much greater precision. I played Trials Fusion on X1 and 360 and in seconds you can feel the difference and the great responsiveness and accuracy of the controller.
3) Gra...
Naughty Dog is saying what every devt out there already knows.
It is always maximum performance to go straight to the hardware than it is to use APIs.
APIs are a balancing act... On one side (Direct to GPU) you go straight to the GPU and if you are a developer exclusive to a console there is no issue with doing that. But if you are developing in PC land, with the many different GPUs out there this approach leads to a lot more code, more support issues, ...
Hopefully they'll put RTS IPs into a three year cycle...
Year 1 - Halo Wars
Year 2 - Age of Mythology
Year 3 - Rise of Nations
I also know a lot of people will hate this next statement, but...
Wouldn't it be cool if they integrated Kinect voice commands and motion to control the RTS (Assuming they also support keyboard and controllers)?
Is it just me or are other people feeling:
Why should we pay to play games we have played before?
Console vendors used to offer this little thing called backwards compatibility... Now publishers are allowed to double dip our pockets by making HD remakes and re-releases on the new platforms...
I don't play my Wii U much, but Nintendo has maintained Wii game BC. Meanwhile Sony and MS did not.
I know that I am in the very minute minority, but I have no problem with $60 for a game.
But, I do think the pricing model should evolve based on:
1) Length of campaign
2) Multi-player
3) Re-playability
4) Effort to develop
My expectation is that a $60 game has a 15 hr plus campaign, decent multi-player, a level of replayability that gives me an additional 50+ hours, and probably cost the studio at least $30 million of...
Agreed E3 will be epic...
Really? First Punch?
So, what was the Halo Guardians announcement?
So, what was the June update announcement with external hard drive support and being able to put marketplace games on the external drives?
So, what was the Sunset Overdrive announcement?
So, what was the Japanese exclusives announcements yesterday?
LOL...
Sony is asleep at the wheel ...
I have all the next gen experiences so I am playing everything. There is a lack of new content even by previous generation standards.
Also, your argument about new players has a massive fail... How many people are willing to shell out $400 to play a console for their first time not knowing whether they will like it or not (not to mention picking up a few games too)? When the consoles are $200 people will take a chance on their first console, but at $400 first timers are few...
