"is superior to current-gen" really means it is better than 360/PS3 but not as good as X1/PS4...
Yeah... I completed and enjoyed Injustice not long after it came out...
I would rather have another new fighting game then something I have already completed.
Who cares if foliage has physics...
Is the game any good?
You post is both factless and baseless. Please cite web sites or posts by Microsoft representatives stating that they will change the direction on Kinect going forward.
I wasted $600 on a PS3 at the start of last gen and they only delivered one real game in the first year (Resistance).
I don't see how spending $500 this gen is any worse then the PS3 first year nightmare last gen. That was one of the most embarrassing purchases in my life.
Not really a good comparison...
Should've tried to show on the same tracks, with the same cars at the same locations.
Comparisons were often different cars, on different settings, and different locations.
What? A camera can record what people are doing and the it can give it to advertisers?
That is insane... I didn't know that computer/console cameras could record... I have to re-think the entire meaning of my life...
Who cares... The day I get my X1, I am disconnecting Kinect... Just like every receiver I buy, I throw out the FM antenna, every Blu-ray player I buy I throw out every cable that is not power or HDMI, and when I buy a vehicle the first t...
I think the only reason to buy consoles is for its games...
Controllers are a matter of preference. I have had people complain about both this past generation...
People that like the Dual Shock often talk about how light it is and how great the d-pad is...
People who like the XB controller talk about how good it feels and how balanced it is...
The big question that is going to differentiate the controllers is how useful the dual shock touch screen will be?
It is very simple. Sony holds the patents to a monopoly product. aka High Definition disc players. Therefore, they have to license it to MS on fair and reasonable terms.
If they don't the governments of the EU and Us would go after them...
That is not true. To begin with there hasn't been enough sales of VR devices in the past to justify continued research and innovation in the space. It is just not something that enough consumers are truly interested in.
As for controllers we are seeing a lot of innovation and change in this space. Touch screens and camera/mics (aka Kinect) are the most promising ones. 10 years ago touch screen games were almost non-existent but now because of the Apple touch devices t...
No surprises here.
I would be surprised if any console supports moving trophies/achievements to a new account.
As for the HDMI capture. It takes time to devt stuff, and the console vendors have to have finalized their features by the time they started to manufacture consoles so all they are doing is bug removal now for day one firmware updates. They will move to new features after the consoles ship and have stable firmwares.
I am buying both systems on Day One... I have extensively used both this last gen.
I'm just calling spades, spades, and am tired of how great sony is vs. how bad MS is on this site...
Yep, and before the PS2, consoles never had Ethernet connections, and before Xbox consoles never had HDDs...
While I appreciate everyone's beliefs... Technology will prove you wrong over and over again...
At some point in the future, broadband, next to zero latency will exist and be available to everyone, everywhere. Digital is already real for music, movies, and on Steam...
Console fanboys are just in total denial here.
I don't really see where the PS4 has a second screen advantage over X1.
To begin with I can use any Windows, iOS, or Android device to do my second screen experience on X1 and that is available today on both 360 and X1. Sony hasn't even delivered this on another device other than Vita yet.
As for marketplace, messaging, etc... That is all already available via the web browser on any of the second screen devices through xbox.com, so this is more abou...
OK. If I was a company with a product like the demand for the PS4 I would do the same. This is called maximizing profit because your fanbase is too f---ing dumb to figure out that you are in this for money and not for the good of consumers... LIKE EVERY OTHER COMPANY ON THE PLANET...
I love how some PS fanboys are trying to say this is an untrue article. FACE IT SONY FANBOYS, SONY IS JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER COMPANY ON THE PLANET!
That is lame...
A subsidy to do something is a subsidy no matter what.
I'm sure there is a clause in the buyout contracts that this would only be available on the PS network for free. So that is just as exclusionary as not making content available on another console or delaying its availability.
To me, they are both trying to making money and in order to do that they are enticing devts, making great content, and competing hard with each ...
A lot of people thinks consoles will do well this gen. I think they will start well, but then they have to find places to grow the install base on the casual and home entertainment side.
100,000,000 didn't buy the Wii because they were gamers. Right now, for the Wii U, and launches of X1 and PS4 I do not see any reason a casual average person would buy these consoles.
And that's what I like to hear. If it makes sense, use it... If it doesn't, don't.
Shovelware and gimmicks uses of the WiiMote were rampant on the Wii. MS has done a pretty good job of limiting (not fully avoiding) shovelware Kinect titles as compared to the Wii.
There was nothing compelling in that article that made me want to jump to the new generation of consoles...
What would be better is if the would talk about graphical changes, AI capabilities, game engine capabilities, environment capabilities, and all the other aspects of games.
I'm not going to try and defend reviewers because a large portion of them are a bunch of dumb a$$ idiots...

But, at the same time I do not like the excuse of reviewing compared to traditional games.
Really, a review should be a level of satisfaction after playing the full game and attaching a score to that satisfaction. The review should not compare it to other games because games (to me) are works of art and should only be compared to themselves.
