Yeah, I like how a lot of people did not like it because it was developed by Double Helix... As if Double Helix is incapable of creating anything good.
What people don't realize is that MS probably set quality levels for them to meet and they are probably funding the project well. Something Double Helix probably appreciates and has probably not had to work under before.
As a gold subscriber I am fine with this. If I have to pay for a subscription service I want as many services as possible to be packaged into it.
Deep Down > Ryse > Killzone > Crysis 3
And after saying that I declare the comparison a bad assessment. Things that affect how much devts can put into character models include game lighting, environment, and game genre...
They are comparing to FPS, to a hack n' slash, to an RPG... The ability to dedicate processing and GPU resources to characters is completely different in each genre.
Third party and indie devts are crazy to not release a game on a platform.
Indie and third party devt will need to release on both platforms to survive as both seem to be shaping up with a solid first holiday season install base.
@patsrule316...
Good point about people that have not played the games, but in my case I have played most (if not all of them) so really it is no factor for me to buy a PS4... It still is a concern to me that they are recycling IPs vs. also getting new IPs from Indies... Ex. MS is getting Mojang's Cobalt and they are recycling Minecraft.
@Mikelarry...
I understand game delays and really like devts and pubs to take pride in their product...
My top 5...
Hot Wheels Beat That
Rogue Warrior
Leisure Suit Larry Box Office Bust
Double Dragon II

Agreed, Too Human was flawed, but the story was strong and the RPG elements were strong.
The control scheme was the only real lackluster part of the game... Unfortunately, you are reminded at how flawed the control scheme was in every single level and every single battle in the game...
Framerate is not a concern. If I had an open world free roaming game where every single object has interactivity as it is in the real world I doubt the game would be 60 FPS.
But, it would probably be an amazing game!
I have both systems on pre-order.
I am concerned about the PS4 indie content. Not because they are not good games but more because they are mostly games that already exist. Why do I need to buy a new piece of hardware to play stuff I have already played on some other device?
Second, I am concerned about the quality of both systems' (PS4 and X1) hardware. I had to replace two PS3's and two X360's last gen. So, to me, neither vendor has a great ...
From XB generation to XB360 generation, Microsoft gained a drastic level of market share...
From the PS2 generation to PS3 generation, sony lost a drastic level of market share.
Also, you have to wonder how many "real" numbers of consoles there are for each console... RRoD, many console redesigns, console storage size changes, AAA collector bundles, etc. The difference between 80m and 79m for PS3 and X360 may actual be zero.
Yep the whole pallet of all 10,000 pallets with 100 X1's on each pallet...
I will never see one of these in my home.
This generation I have decided I will only purchase digitally.
I went yesterday to my best buy and saw one!
Forza was the only thing they had on demo this week (They said, next week they will have Killer Instinct 3). It was really awesome although I did see some anti-aliasing issues that MS says they know about. The trigger feedback is amazing for racing!
There was no dashboard functionality as well...
The biggest issue both console vendors have is supply (Heck, even the Wii U sold out for a few weeks last year). There is no doubt there is high demand for both consoles since they are both sold out for pre-order.
The winner and loser of total sales this holiday will be based on how many consoles they can get onto retail shelves. That is a manufacturing and distribution issue, not a consumer preference issue.
It depends who you are and why your buying a console...
Some people will buy a console for the entertainment features, others for only games, others price, and still others will buy it as a family device because they can't justify a $400-500 purchase for one member of the family only.
I'm not sure this is the same thing... In the Dell page they are saying X1 can run and sync Win8 apps. Miracast is really just a projection technology (Projecting your PC thru an X1, onto the TV).
We will see.
The purpose of any trailer is to sell the game...
Why would someone spend time creating a trailer if they weren't trying to sell more copies of the game?
The story is illogical from its title on...
Asking a developer who has only delivered games for consoles on playstation consoles would probably yield an article like this...
What would we expect them to say?
"Nintendo has a superior platform but we only develop for playstation"????
@Xsilver...
News flash....
Every company is about money.
Recent history tells a much different story...
The PS2 sold millions of consoles because it was just as cheap as a DVD player and games machine. Personally, that is the way I justified the purchase to my significant other at the time. And I am sure many others did too.
The Wii was successful by taking game controls in a new direction. Motion gaming was its selling point. Nobody can tell me WiiSport almost 8-bit graphics sold that device well. It wasmore ...
