Thanks for that, I just took it as truth there and was like "that's pretty impressive", not so much now. Just goes to show you have to really scrutinise everything these corporations tell you.
You're right, we don't know much at all for sure.
"This article is meant to question that the 720 will come out this year, but doesn't question that it was PLANNED to come out this year."
This Blog is only asking the 'what if' question, I make no claim of knowing one way or another what was planned or what will happen, it's pure speculation.
"Don't even say that I'm whining about people whining! Don't you dare"
That's what people say when they know they are doing exactly that and don't want to be called out on it.
Springheeledjack is right, yes my comment was critical of MS but that doesn't mean it's trolling, I love Sony or that you can make claims of victimisation.
Actually Guerilla Games let Jimmy Fallon have a go on his show while demoing Killzone: Shadow Fall.
I know he's not press in the strictest sense though and I understand what you're saying.
Pros - MO MONEH!! $£$£$£$
Cons - Drown in the tears of your customers
Microsoft, hated by indie devs, loved by TV companies.
What does this tell you about the direction of the Xbox brand?
"That IS entirely possible"
Glad you can see that. One of the things that spurred me to write this blog was some people on the article I linked to claiming that "We all know the next Xbox is coming out later this year" as if it were fact.
I hadn't though about the actual logistics of doing a U-turn on the used game thing. Some interesting points theres, thanks.
@dedicated - more interesting points, although I d...
Yeah, because all Japanese people don't socialize. They communicate through telepathy and a form of pheremone dispersal; like psychic ants.
Who needs words anyway when you can communicate an entire sentence and convey emotional states with one monosyllabic grunt.

smh
LMAO you're on a roll, following on from your "bioshocking" comment, keep it up :D
He broke into a secure server that may have contained personal information on millions of customers and possibly even credit card info.
A year seems fair to me, bearing in mind he'll probably be out in less than that with 'good behaviour'...
...If he doesn't get shanked by a Playstation fanboy inmate lol.
You won't need to create a new account, you use your existing one.
I'm fairly sure movies/music and other media will be compatible with the PS4, only games will be affected.
Also the PSN will still remember which games you bought so, if in the future, a solution to BC (like Gaikai) is put in place, you may get your games again for free.
@DK
Guess you decided to miss the bit of my comment that said "BC would have been nice". Nobody is denying that it wouldn't be a good feature, quite frankly I don't know why you jumped to that conclusion. Almost sounds like you're afraid to lose that point as an argument in favor of your own agenda.
I agree with the "one model with it and another without it" solution, but then it may take development/research time and mon...
@Ducky
"PS1 didn't have BC"
Actually PS1 could play every single previous Playstation game :P
Brilliant! Laughed all the way through.
"When the Sony Gestapo breaks down my door and takes away my Ps3, what will I even do?"
HAHAHA! Didn't you know, all PS3s have a proximity sensor built in so when you take home a PS4 they will self destruct.
I'm with you that BC would have been nice but, since it's being used a weapon in the MS fanboy arsenal, it is being greatly exaggerated.
It won't change until websites work some other way than ad driven revenue. A lot of sites care more about getting you to click through page after page (full of ads) than they do about the actual content they offer.
There's also too much pressure from publishers when it comes to reviews. With certain websites, which won't be named... I G N, getting exclusive dibs on review embargos and other shady practices.
By "slight air of pretentiousness" I meant he kind of comes across that way, I wasn't making a personal observation, I don't actually think he is pretentious. I have great respect for anyone who dares to make games as different and engaging as his.
Easily achieveable, well not easily but it's a realistic figure.
If you can get past the slight air of pretentiousness, Cage actually has his good taste and is passionate about what he does.
Is it ignorant to expect better quality for my money?
"If MS and Sony enforce a used game ban. I won't be against it. Everyone will benefit from it."
Yeah, screw the poor people who can't afford to play the games that the richer folk can /s

Sorry but I'm glad you're getting disagrees, your comment seems quite selfish.
Why deprive everyone else of great exclusives just because you won't be buying both? They'll still be there for you to play when/if you eventually buy the other console.
