@edited response - er, yeah I think we got some wires crossed there somewhere, I didn't disagree either btw. The bottom line is that Sony have a very smart approach to the way they've configured their hardware and you're right that the sharing of assets between devs is priceless.

I wouldn't say destroyed the Xbox brand, more changed. They are moving away from the gamer audience that elevated them to the point they are in the first place. thing is a lot of the 'feautures' of the new Xbox will probably be built into TVs in the near future anyway, just look at samsungs smart tvs, they even have kinect-like gesture and voice control.
Sony have done some very clever things when it comes to sharing the loads between CPU and GPU. It's these innovation that will make PS4 games stand out from the competition.

Sorry but it'll take more than free online, BC and not going 'always on' to beat Sony. There has to be games, good ones.

2 - Foster their creativity and genius
3 - Attract some of the best dev talent in the world

Good read, I agree we don't want to see stagnation of any kind unless it's a 'not broke, don't fix it' situation.
Funny you should use the Killzone: Shadowfall pic in an blog about visual stagnation when it's a widely adopted opinion that SF has taken the series in a much brighter, colourful direction. The cityscape of Vekta seems almost alive and so well lit with vivid colour unlike the browns and greys of this generation.

Yeah that's fair to say, I never meant all of them.
At the minute, the only partner for streaming that is announced is Ustream, which I'll admit to never using so I have no opinion of it. In the future, perhaps even E3, they'll offer more choice and I would bet Twitch, Youtube and such will all be available at some point.
Microsoft should rip this off for the design of the Xbox 3, looks pretty sweet.
The share button on PS4 will make a lot of these devices obsolete.
Funny how when recalling Xbox new IPs and exclusives your memory is impeccable but you tend to get lapses when listing PS3/4 games. Knack was even the first game they ever showed for PS4.
If they have good games coming out we'll hear about them whether they have a show or not.
They'll never appeal to the casual audience with a price like that.
