"We've already been seeing..
an influx of innovative, unique and interesting titles lately"
I wouldn't call it an influx more the usual steady stream. My point was that now Sony are opening their doors wider to the indie community, making it easier to get their games on the platform, we should see an increase to what we already have on PSN. Who knows when the next break-away title will immerge from these devs and Sony is putting themselves in a ...
I'm hoping for at least a teaser at E3 announcing a PS4 title from Naughty Dog. My E3 hype glands are swelling.
It's odd because ND have broken their usual routine each gen of: New IP trilogy then karting version. This time round they went: New IP trilogy then another new IP. Does this mean there'll be Last of Us 2+3 on PS4? Maybe but my guess is, with them having two teams now, they'll also create a new IP just for PS4.
This is an obvious move to highlight the many talented Indie devs that Sony have been courting recently. They've made a big push to secure, and give support to, as many indies as possible; making the PS4 incredibly accessible to them and even helping with funding.
We should see an massive influx of innovative, unique and interesting titles exclusively on PS3/PS4 in the very near future.
I'd take a guess at a yes, Sony have a habit of revealing a few big titles in the run up to E3. It seems like a weird tactic but they usually have so much content that it's hard to fit it all into one conference. I guess the idea is the announcements in the run up will take the edge off of the XB3 reveal as well as build hype for PS4 going into E3.
They should just give them away, the sales would be infinite, maybe on Oprah or something?
Forbes is really milking the opinion pieces lately. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Forbes a business/economy type site, why are they chiming in so loudly on video games?
More on topic -
"In other words, both machines will likely be perfectly sufficient at non-gaming tasks."
Notice how this is a pretty common opinion but the same has not been said about the games, as if one console is expected to outperform another ...
First off, putting a tiny, generic comment to do with the topic at hand does not qualify you to make a massive off topic rant. why didn't you just PM me?
To answer your questions though, it's nothing personal. I have been "disproving" articles that have been deemed unsuitable by mods. Apparently, since its close to the launch of new consoles, the mods here have decided to ban everything with an unamed source. I guess it's to stop wild rumors from s...
Maybe it seemed a little FORCEd.
Microsoft allowed negative rumor and speculation to gain traction and now have a lot of stuff to set straight or maybe dissapoint us with. It's true that the exposure has been great for the wider industry, which could use the attention. The PS4 specs and games have been thoroughly talked about since the reveal for example.
I heard from a great source that PS4 will have UNLIMITED POWER!

edit: Damn Rebel scum and their fly-by disagrees.
I think he may be serious guys, I'm scared for him.
lol it's pretty funny though, I've read more logical and informed fanboy rants here on N4G.
So the wise folk at mobilenapps dot com think that Xbox 3 will sell more because of timed exclusives, Kinect and entertainment/tv/music/movie apps.
Well, it's possible but just how probable?
@Godchild Yeah last place (awaiting solid confirmation) but this time they don't have a head start.
@KarmicDemon Exactly, the PS4 looks to bring the whole package without neglecting the gamers but we've yet to see MS's stand on this,...
"Cell phone carriers have more than proven that people are willing to pay a little extra over a long period of time in lieu of one big lump sum."
Bad comparison because you HAVE to have some kind of subscription in order to use your cell/mobile, whereas for consoles it's not a necessity.
A better deal would be to offer a discounted console when you take out or add a years sub for xbl/ps+.
Pretty sure you were among the people squeeling "wait for confirmation" & "it's just a rumor" at every article suggesting anything negative about Xbox 3. Now, here you are, jumping on a positive rumor like it's a fact.
The hypocrisy is strong with this one.
@below - "deluded"? No need for the personal attack. Actually I was one of the ones saying that it would be a stupid move and have been actively agaisnt it f...
"So his enemies somehow become inhuman or non-human because of their motives?"
WHAT!? I Never said that.
Yeah he can incapacitate them sure, which he does with the 'innocent' parties i.e. the sleep darts in the musuem (Among Thieves). My point was that he only ever kills people who are trying to kill him, which is kind of justified.
"Now that Microsoft is firmly in your living room, company officials want to make sure that they're in control of everything you do there."
First I'd argue that there are a lot more Xboxs in bedrooms and dormrooms than living rooms but that's not the point I want to make really.
We have to be careful how much control we give to a single corporation like Microsoft. If they gain their sought after monopoly of the living room as they h...
This again, I'm pretty sure it's not murder if you kill people who are trying to kill you and/or destroy/take over the world. Why is it that Drake always gets this weird criticism and all other protagonists are immune?
My guess is they'll show off a bunch of new games in the run up to E3, before and after May 21st, they have done in the past. They have too many games to fit into one conference, especially with a new console reveal too.
A Rockstar exclusive would definitely be a system seller, hope they've shifted it to PS4.
I can confirm this :P
